I had been looking at a variety of rifles, and after a number of emails with Tom Griffin at Troy, I decided on the Lamb Carbine. Tom had offered to customize a defense rifle, and offered up a deal with the Troy American Gunfighter Program that includes discounts for military veterans. I decided to go with the Lamb because of the longer free float 15" rail and the Geissele Super 3 Gun trigger. Tom also had the sights changed to the H&K style front and round rear for me, as requested. I ordered the rifle on Tuesday, July 8th, they shipped it July 10th, it arrived in town Monday, July 14th. My FFL missed delivery and picked it up Tuesday. I got it from him that evening. Included were a VFG I had requested, along with three extra mags. Everything noted for this rifle on the Troy website was in the box. I asked Allyson Ranelli to email a pdf of the invoice and that came within the hour; Priced and detailed as agreed, billed correctly and shipped promptly.
The Lamb carbine is mid length... Barrel is melonite 1:7, BCG is niBor M16 style. Bolt staking is finely done, and everything that can be staked, is. Test target included had a 1" group marked at 100yds. VTac sling and co-branded lower with SGM Lamb engraved in it... Nice long 20" sight radius. I really like the more vertical angle and textured feel of the grip. But the best part is the
trigger... and the sight picture of the HK style front sight... Now, all I have to do is finish recovery from my neck surgery and go shoot this thing... Hopefully, a range report very soon. Got some Federal XM855 and Fusion MSR to fire...
