Steve, I don't have the rifle yet, background check didn't go through before they closed. I do have the rail and parts though.
No instructions but I'm thinking I remove the handguards, gas block and tube then barrel nut. New barrel nut goes on torque 30- 80 ft lbs, where notch is lined up so gas tube goes through, install lo profile gas block and gas tube spin on handguard until it lines up, tighten allen screws to secure in place. Did I miss anything? Looks very straight forward. Any locktite on the barrel nut from factory? Should I locktite anything I'm installing? If so what kind?
The LAR-8 wrench head will work to remove the original barrel nut and install the new one right?
Please give me the lengths of the buffer tube, buffer and spring For 6 position adj stock. This purchase I got what was supposed to be an extra tube, buffer and spring. The tube is 7" long uninstalled, the buffer appears to be a AR 15 H2 carbine buffer 4.75oz and 3.25" long, spring is 14.25" long. I want to confirm the setup in the rifle is correct before firing, makes me wonder since the extra appears to be wrong.
Thanks
