Friend brought out his 47 X1 to the range this weekend and shot it for the first time. Shooting brass cased ammo, it worked flawlessly for the first ten rounds out of the RRA mag. After that it would eject the spent round fine but wouldn't pick the next round up from the magazine.
We tried an eastern European mag with both brass and steel cased rounds with the same result.
Switching back to the RRA mag, it would hand cycle a complete magazine full. Thinking it was working again, chambered a round, fired and ejected fine but failed to pick up the next round off the mag.
Friend called RRA today and was told the chamber was dirty and needed to be cleaned. Horse hockey... Ten rounds from new is a dirty chamber? And how would a dirty chamber cause the bolt to not even strip the next round?
Need some common sense help Steve! Thanks.
