I’ve got a quick question I just got back from the range today, and I had several issues with the drum. I was shooting a cmmg kit that has 1500 rounds thru it with no issues. I was using all new BDM mags, the regular 26 round mags shot perfectly! The trouble came when I started using the drum. It would fire 3-4 rounds then on the 5th round it would attempt to fire (round chambered, hammer would drop but nothing) I would recharge it and we would start the sequence over again. Any idea what’s going on? Like I said the regular BDM mags worked flawlessly! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This has only came up 2 other times, both cases this fixed it. Back off the spring winding to 1 1/4 turns. The drum is simple to take apart and put back together.
I can walk you through it if needed.

I finally got to shoot my new short barrel Spikes ST-22 with a Specter silencer and BDM 50 round drum. No failures of any type in 500 rounds. I was shooting Federal 550 bulk pack. Color me happy.

Finally got out and shot my drum with spikes conversion kit. Had to no fires, but I think that was the ammo. Much nicer to load than mags.

We just got 4 of the drums in for our 22 upper project.

Everyone runs like friggin sewing machine!! Couldn't be happier!!

They ran every kind of ammo we put in...no glitches outside of a dud round.

We ran out of "weeeeeeeeeeee" before we ran out of ammo in drum, so Kenny is a happy camper too.

Kevin.....you KNOW you have winner there.....thanks for getting them to us.

I had a Ruger Charger that would barely feed from a factory mag, they are VERY rough on the inside. I shot one of the BDM drums last week through my old 10-22 and had no real issues. I should have the drum for my pps50 in the AM, I hope it turns a $500 paperweight into a shooter.

I have 9 10/22's With the exception of one, they all feed 100% with stock ruger mags and butler creek steel lips mags. They'll eat any ammo too.... I need to findout about replacing my 10/22 drum tower with something that works.

Ive not spent a lot of time playing with the steel lip mags, but I have many thousands through regular Butler Creek 25 rounders, and have been quite satisfied. I am REALLY impressed with the BDM Drum, I just need them to make a tower for my AK22.

ran my drum today with spikes conversion. fed all 50 rounds just fine, but it somehow chambered the first round of the dummy stack, breaking the white band thing, and left the dummy round jammed in the chamber. i had to drop a cleaning rod down the barrel to pop out the dummy round.

so my drum is broke....but it worked great when it ran.

how do i fix the dummy stack? and what went wrong that it would feed the first dummy round?

does the drum hold the bolt back on last round?

pm me if you want to, im sure i will forget to check this thread.

I think they are busy, but if you need parts to fix yours call them, I just got off the phone and they are sending me a follower set to fix mine. Basically mine only came with 9 dummy rounds installed it was supposed to have 10.

The drum does not hold the bolt open on the last round like the mags with the BHO followers installed.

Also to those interested Midway has them in stock again, $59.99 each.
