Hi Marsh, do you have a subtension sheet for the FFP? Like the width of the reticle posts, etc? I saw where you answered the previous thread that the dots are .2 mil. It appears that the reticle is the standard Army mildot reticle, is that correct?
I saw a sheet like this: http://www.shootingvoodoo.com/index.php/download_file/-/view/59/ Does this look correct? Or do you have something like this for your FFP? I want to get the proper measurements and formula into my data book for ranging. By the way, I really like it. I probably have 120+ rounds through mine on an Armalite AR-10A4 and so far so good. Thanks! ETA: Also, we should definitely have a 4-14 FFP thread sticky with pics and data. Moar ETA: DIY Zero Stop for PA 4-14 FFP optic |

Can anyone tell me the overall length of this FFP scope with the sunshade on it? Any pics with sunshade? I couldn't find any. Thanks
EDIT: PM'd Marshall, who said it is 16" total length with sunshade. Thanks! |

I can't find it on the website. Please tell me you're getting more, Marsh.
Oops, should have looked harder. |

Bought this a few months back and finally got to stretch it's capabilities out to 500 yds. on a 8in. steel gong this past weekend. Scope worked GREAT !! Dialed in the focus for 500yds. and made hits as long as I did my part in reading the wind (I need improvement at this distance). Was using standard 55gr. ammo and had the at scope set on 10x to keep reticule size down.
It sits on a PSA upper/lower combo. with RA med. contour SS barrel and a DSA LPK. Once I upgrade to Geisslee (sp?) trigger I think I can do much better with it. The 4-14x44 FFP mil/mil was every bit the equal of my friends Falcon Arms scope. |

At 300 yards any of them count...but the center one is the most important...Hope that was the First One...

Mine was on the doorstep at 8:01 today
Can't wait to open her up and mount!!! |

Hi Marsh, I bought the 4x14x44 scope awhile back for my ar-15. Long story short, I am in the market for a bolt action 308 and would like to take the scope and mount it to it and would like to get it as low to the barrel as possible. I am going to use a 20 MOA weaver mount and either low or medium weaver rings. Would the low rings work or do I need medium rings?
Thanks, Todd |

Has anyone done a box test on this scope yet? View Quote I have and tested the mil spacing and tracking. Box tests are not very accurate way of testing a scope. If you have windy conditions your left and right can very. We use MOA conversion charts and dial in full firing solutions and then return to zero and repeat over and over. Hope this helps Dimitri. |
|
Just wanting to find some way of evaluating the repeatability of the turrets. The box test is the standard way of testing that.

Dialing in a firing solution and going back to zero and repeating verifying the actual moa UP and Down with an MOA to Inches conversion chart is a far more accurate test then a box that is not measured and is just an equal amount of clicks. A 10 mph wind can throw your shot off .6" left or right. But like I said it passed that box test and my testing as well. Dimitri |

I think what you're saying is that in your opinion the box test is not a good way to test the repeatability of the turrets. And you may be right. Perhaps your way is superior.
But the box test is the standard way of measuring turret repeatability. It's the way the vast majority of people do it. And if it passes a box test, then I'm satisfied, so we're good. |

My 4-14 FFP resides on my Mosin. I plan on picking up a new 1-6 for my Remington 7600P and another for one of my Arsenal AKs. I found a home for both. YMMV.

Thanks! Here is a pic with the 4-14 on the rifle...cant decide between this or getting the 1-6 when it comes out http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/Derek1387/Messenger_5850603395863816281_13948925485425276_zpsa59eagyv.jpg Thoughts? View Quote I'd shoot it... So I decided to bite the bullet (pun intended) and get the scope... Anyone know the objective lens diameter? I'm trying to pick out rings that go with my new fancy scope... |

Looking to order the 4-14 Mil/Mil scope. Site says early May, is that still a good estimate?

I find myself in need of scopes for two hunting rifles one .303 Brit and one .270 Win. While I'm sure this scope could handle the recoil from them, would it be up to the rigors of hunting or are these more suited as just a range toy?

Just a heads up, these are back in stock. I ordered one along with an ADM Recon mount. Can't wait to check it out.

Does anyone have feedback on how well one of these compares in quality to the falcon menace line of scopes?
