Oh, thank you!
That schematic on how to tie the sling on is golden. Mine is literally half ass tied in place. It'll hold, but isn't pretty. |

Use some cheap stuff like twine to get the length to save on cord. I can't remember where I put mine either. EDIT: found mine, where it should of been, about 12 inches it looks like, that is taking the knot into consideration. |

Mike. Snagged a few parts from you the past few days. I got the barrel PSA sent. Wow this is perfect. Everything I expected and more. Only thing I can complain about is the stamping on the barrel. Its a bit heavy and under the handguards, but if thats all I have to complain about wow. Its a exact replica. Have not compared the fsb to the real barrel (got tired last night and didnt compare with a real barrel) but everything looks spot on. I wanted to make a A1 I could regularly shoot and not be afraid of wearing out a expensive piece of history. This fits the bill. Will buy another after I let a few others grab some.

Replace that screw as soon as possible. It has no drain hole.
Got my H&R bcg. Its a M4 BCG. Looks good. Has the modern step on the carrier. No complaints good enough. I can always remove the Oring. |

ETA: the only reason I used that one is because I needed it to hold the stock on to keep the spring and detent in place. I had time to put the lower together this morning and I knew I wasn’t going to have time later this week. Just so happened that I got the screws with drain holes from Brownells in right afterwards. |

Mike, if you are ever bored, you could experiment with the laser engraving to make it look more irregular and rollmarkish. Have a bit of Colt IDGAFness. Imagine the laser spending a bit more time here or there. Perhaps a line on a character could have uneven thickness on the top and bottom. The laser could be at an angle, moving through an arc as it engraves. I see a patent in your future.

These products have often sold out in HOURS, sometimes MINUTES. Mike is the Taylor Swift of retro. As I type, PSA is spending that roll mark die money on some AK bullpup lever action 5.7 prototype for SHOT Show 2025. The American firearm industry has won two world wars, it can put roll marks on lowers again. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/41811/6CA466BE-78B1-47E1-A058-2D38C81B4F81_jpe-3159490.JPG I still maintain that the above could be simulated with laser if the laser spends more time at the periphery. Deep on the sides, shallow in the middle. I also feel that Mike could patent that. Have a graphic designer develop an H&R font set (instead of the Microsoft Word drop down menu selection currently employed) and then have some fun with your laser guy and some giga blem lowers. You could make each number in the serial number a few pixels up/down/left/right--irregularly irregular. This would not involve dies, just code, and could rapidly be changed for new lower designs. I'm the 1% who wouldn't like it - as a dealer, I LOVE laser engraved SNs when it comes time to log stuff in. I have trifocals. |

But even the pre orders go OOS in hours, (cause this stuff is the REAL dope.) |

Heard nothing but good things. No disrespect... Your product is awesome. But when you constantly make 100 pieces of "X" and there's 10,000 customers waiting for that "X"... there's ALWAYS going to be 9,900 disappointed folks out there. Eventually, they're going to give up and settle for "Y" instead . If you're only capable of producing 100.. and you're selling everything you can produce, God bless ya brother! But if you're selling out of everything within 24hrs? That says that there's a YUGE market to be tapped! Produce it and we will come! |

View Quote Out of respect for Mike, this is not my thread, he is making an outstanding product. The value proposition of what he is doing is staggering knowing what goes into all this. I’m a customer, I just bought 15 uppers myself for my own guns/projects. There aren’t 10,000 ppl wanting what WE sell, customers sign up for in stock notifications & my newsletter and wait patiently - 80% of my customers are repeat. They get notified and snatched up - We’re smaller than nodak was servicing a very niche portion of a niche industry. I’m employee 1 of 1, wife helps answer emails. It’s very expensive/time consuming to make lowers how we do. I rushed a batch once and had to recall and remake 100 lowers because they didn’t drop vintage mags. From now on I’m doing it the way I know eworks. 75 people got phone calls explaining the situation, I learned a valuable lesson. Regardless, yall have a good day. I look forward to H&R's products. Keep killing it Mike. |

Mike, I snagged one of THE very first gray, H&R A1 lowers you offered, back in 2022, and got one of your gray uppers when they first went up for sale, as well, and I consider myself mighty lucky to have a GORGEOUSLY matching set. So impressed was I that with the first set that I decided to replace the upper and lower receivers on my older Brownells XM177E2 with H&R components, and sell off the old pieces. My H&R XM177E2 lower is currently inbound, and I now only have to wait for an A1 upper. Any ETA on the next batch of uppers, and will you be giving us a courtesy heads-up just before the balloon goes up, as before??
THANK YOU for what you do, AND KEEP IT UP!! |

Me too. Patiently waiting. I love the attention to historical details and disline the ones that are more modern. YMMV. I think mike is doing a great job. Waiting on uppers to come back in stock so I can get one for my XM177E2 build that currently uses a NDS upper. The nds upper will not accept a scope. The slot is cut too small.

I'm still wishing they'd make an XM177E2 upper with a 12.7 barrel or something so that it could be pinned and welded and made legal.
Or, hell, just sell a stripped A1 upper and I'll make my own with a Brownells barrel. But, I'm starting to realize I may need to buy a complete upper and change out the barrel also. |

This is the 733 complete 11.5" upper. Questions: Does is have an F height FSB? The website says rifle height front sight base but I want to be sure since I heard some of the rifles had F FSBs. Does it have M4 feed ramps? Is this barrel or the one without a bayonet lug ever sold by itself? |

We don’t sell it separately. |

Finally got one of the ejection port covers, extremely happy with it.
The spring doesn’t appear to be black anymore, it’s almost brown like patina. It should go well with what I have planned. |

Hey Mike, any updates on the M16 receivers? And will you do black and gray batches for these or just the gray for now?
