Anyone know if a way to tell the difference between a 6 and 7 tube? I can weigh the one I'm taking off tonight and compare it to the weight of the one I ordered that is 7075. That's about the only idea I have.

Take this with a grain of salt... Usually, PSA 7075 REs have a thin gray lube film on the inside the tube that usually indicates it's 7075.
I checked several PSA 7075 REs I had laying around and all weighed 3.95 oz., except one. I still have one of the CTR LBK (Item #7030) they have been putting out on sale recently. I opened it to weigh the RE and was pleasantly surprised to see it had the dry lube inside. It also weighed 3.95 oz. I thought it was 6061, guess not. When I went back and read the item description again, it says mil-spec blah-blah buffer tube, but last sentence says premium build kit. My brother got the same kit and I guess I didn't notice if it had the dry lube inside the tube when I built his.
Now, I still have one I ordered in 03/2016 for $29.99. I opened it, which has 7075 (Item #355) on the bag, but doesn't have the dry lube on the inside and it only weighed 3.85 oz.
All these REs ranged from over the past several years (2015-2017).
I weighed four other 7075 REs from two other companies. Two from one (MOA) weighed 3.95 oz. and the two from the other (DI) weighted one at 3.95 oz. and the other at 3.80 oz.
This is far from scientific, but what my findings were and kinda' fun. My electronic scale is not a fancy or expensive one by any means. Should not of bought so many REs and a better scale
So, I can't tell you what a PSA 6061 RE weighs. But, two 6061 REs from DSG weigh 3.60 oz. I guess I never knew or heard there was a weight difference before. Learn something new everyday.
Maybe, somebody can weigh their PSA 6061 RE, if they have one around.
Plus digging these out, found two orders from PSA that I hadn't even opened the boxes yet. It was kinda' like Christmas
I don't need any more LPKs either
