Well, I've had this SS12 with a 16" PSA Stainless wylde upper from PSA for a few years. I carried it at work for about a year and it had some issues with its assembly that I tried to fix but it inexplicably developed a loss of accuracy...about 8moa at 100 yards. I gave up on diagnoses and contacted PSA. They took it back under warranty and sent it back with their 18" fluted match barrel.
Thanks...
Now for a little criticism. They had my upper for 2 1/2 months. I think the only reason they finally got around to it was because I started checking on it every few weeks. Next, despite my contact information being available, the repair guy never took a few minutes to send me an email or call me which complicated the communication process. The easiest (and possibly only way to contact anyone) was through this website. Whoever was answering from the PSA forum was the liaison between me and the service department.. So thank you to Forum dude and ARFCOM...
And lastly, I haven't shot the rifle yet and there is no test fire target so I don't know if the barrel swap helped. I was leaning towards a problem with the upper receiver and the service department replaced the barrel instead. So I don't know what they diagnosed to be the issue...
Anyway, there it is. Still want to thank PSA for fix. I know it is hard to be perfect but I still give kudos for fixing a 3 year old upper under warranty. I was expecting to have to pay for a new receiver or barrel.
