Any updated word on the PSA AK47's?
Well since they announced the PSA 1911 at SHOT show 2014 and the PSA AK47 at SHOT show 2015...
Thats come to mind mote than once. I'd rather just know yes or no at some point.
I'm sure the PSA rep will be along shortly to tell us how it's nearing the end of the testing phase and just to keep checking the site for it to be posted. Same thing we heard with the 1911.
If I were smart I'd just start having part of my paycheck direct deposited to PSA and save both parties the trouble.
I do want to see their AK, but I won't hold my breath. |
Ok it's come to my attention that the AKs are being doubted.
they are on the GO list still. the issue is that they had a setback with bolt sourcing. One of the Manufacturers didnt use the steel in the bolt that we wanted, so we had to re-run the bolts batches. It set it back a good bit, but they're still a GO and as far as Timeframes, well, look 4-6 weeks or so. Any further questions? |

Is this time line speculation? Where did you receive this information? Inquiring minds would like to know. |

Some companies (not going to name any, but chances are if you have been an AK shooter for a while you may have dealt with some) would have gone ahead with them anyway. |

Couldn't agree more! QC should always start before the product is made available to the public, not after.
It may have delayed the release of their AK but it appears as though this move saved PSA a ton of headaches (and pissing and whining and bitching threads on ARFCOM) in the long run. Kudos on being proactive. |

So....you still didn't tell us how you are so well informed. What gives? as in reporting, an informants identity is most delicate. I never have ever mentioned who tells me what on these forums. Nor will i ever. If you think its first hand knowledge and that i work there, so be it. If you think i dont work there, and im told by someone in the know, so be it. . If you think im just blowing smoke, so be it. As i said previously, take it for what it is, just my .02 worth. |

Pump the brakes. I too have been waiting for the AK and I was only trying to see how credible the information was. He seems to be in the know.

PSA probably would have been better off coming out and saying they are not going to do a 1911 because it does not make economic sense to make one in the current 1911 market conditions. Showing one off at a trade show and then going silent was probably a mistake. No company wants the reputation of being a vaporware company, simply announcing a project is canceled or suspended indefinitely is a better route.

If it's truly 4-6 weeks I'll be eagerly waiting the release.

They're definitely further than 4-6 weeks.
Not sure where you got your information from. You can quote me on this in 4-6 weeks if you want. |

Really hope they'll be threaded 1/2-28 or 5/8-24 and concentric to the bore. Would like to add a qd flash hider.

PSA just give us some info so I know when to start hiding money

The scope mount just doesn't seem "right", to me.
Appears really tall, and at a weird angle. Must have some type of iron sight on the rear of it. Weird. |
I'm guessing they used the RS Regulate 301 mount and instead of the AKML micro mount they used the AKR pic mount which would have raised it a bit.
Was just able to watch the video and he said they were looking for customer input.
PSA, please do NOT use the 4 moa Aimpoint H1. |

Mrgunsngear posted this video yesterday from the NRA Show, they said hopefully in 45 days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dex9ejzLS2Y View Quote Apparently the big guy with the hair product is "excited." And I'm pretty sure the first response given after asked about the different finishes was "hammer forged." I can't wait to see that one! |

I am very excited to buy one. Between PSA coming out with AKs and Kalashnikov USA about to start selling AKs, 2015 is going to be a great year for the platform!

Now I want to know if they will put out a pistol version, would make a great SBR candidate
What happened to the cleaning rod? The shot show model and early prototypes had cleaning rods I thought. If not, can I mount one?
I'm an AR shooter/owner but have been wanting an AK for awhile and if it shoots 1moa like the shot show guy says than I'm really excited. |

Since Magpul started shipping their AK furniture to dealers yesterday, I'm hoping PSA can stay on schedule for the release of the PSAK-47. I've got my $1,000 set aside.
Hey PSA, any updates you can give us? Everything still on schedule for this to be released by the end of the month or has the launch date gotten pushed back at all?
