Gov't spec A2 uppers w/ BCG and charging handle please. View Quote I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I'd like to have a PSA A2, so for now I'm going to have to resort to swapping out the upper and living with the mismatched feedramps. |
|
I was actually looking at the Pencil premiums just so I can take the barrel off and put it on an A2 upper. I dont really need the flat top upper but it is a means to an end
|
|
people been wanting these since psa founded.
idk if theyre even close to being on the table, but we can hope. |
|
I have a DPMS A2 upper receiver waiting for a used CHF upper to arrive, it will then be rebuilt into a mid-length CHF A2 upper that will drop onto a PSA lower at a later date.
It will be the only rifle in my safe with a pinned front sight base or forward assist. |

I have a PSA premium carbine barrel coming with shaved GB,rifle hg's 7cap and a takeoff FSB,and a FNA2 upper coming along with too much time on my hands.
A tap and some setscrews and Mock Dissy. |
|
nice and retro. I dig it. I wish PSA made A2 uppers. The detachable charging handles don't allow that much room for large mitts like mine

I'm in for an A2 midlength upper with an FN barrel. PSA - give us an ETA! -Warren- |

We have looked at this before and found the cost to be prohibitive due to the low volume. Maybe we are wrong.
What would you pay for a stripped A2 upper? |

Just the upper. View Quote They don't seem to be much more or less expensive than a M4 upper right now; MSRPing for around $100 and on sale for roughly half that. I'd be in around $50 for sure. Maybe a bit more. DPMS A2 upper at CDNN ETA: I'm much more interested in a complete or BCG-less gov't profile 20" A2. |

View Quote probalby between 100-130 for a stripped a2 upper reciever on the low end, 150-200 on the high end is what i would say.. the danger is pricing the new upper at a pricepoint that makes it viable. you cant be 200.00 for new when you can get competitors and surplus ones for 100... but you guys know these thigns better than I. |

It depends really. DPMS uppers can be had easily under $100, and sight kits are $50 directly from DPMS.
The thing that would make it stand out would be PSA quality (obviously) and perhaps less obvious would be the inclusion of M4 feed ramps for use with modern barrel extensions. I really like the A2 upper, even if its not with a 20" barrel. My favorite application would be for a dissipator. |
|
Are there any A2 uppers in production for Colt/FN currently?
Wes |
|
An A2 or even an A1, would be nice to even out all of the flat top madness.
|
|
CDNN has them for $49 plus $10 flat rate
Plus I just bought my 3rd A2 upper in the last couple months. That's money that could go to PSA |

I'd much rather have new for around $120 -$130 ish |

I'd buy at least 2 each of A2 uppers and A1 uppers.
Or I'd buy a built out complete M16A2 and M16A1 type upper each I'd pay up to $100 or thereabouts for either an A2 or A1 stripped |

PSA just needs to have a "limited edition" run of 20" A2 uppers to test the waters. They would have no problem selling them, CDNN is always selling out of their $50 A2 uppers.
|
|
I called them yesterday almost begging for an A2 upper to go on my PSA lower. I would buy 2, either carbine or mid length.

Maybe if we keep bumping this to the top and tell them how much we want the A2 uppers, it will happen. Or they will lock it.

Now I kinda want a 16" A2 upper so I can do Black Hawk Down carbine.

Here it is, a CHF lightweight (modified A2) 16" midlength 1:7, mated to a DPMS A2 upper...this would make a great addition to the line-up. I went with a 16" instead of a 14.7" so I could add a bayonet to the kit later. An A2 Dissipator would also completely rock! http://i60.tinypic.com/33cal5c.jpg View Quote That looks great. I'd be interested in a rifle or midlength A2 complete upper. |

A new USA carry handle runs you $75 or more add that to a $50 blem upper and you are at $125 - 150 for a complete upper would be fair, or better yet a CHF Dissy kit for 550 and UPS will have to get bigger trucks -

WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED
sorry, just would really love some A2 uppers |

They're such teases. One of the emails from yesterday advertised "A2 Rifle Kit" in the subject line, but there were only flat tops listed.
|
|
I've got a PSA "Fathers Day" sale complete lower...sitting in the box. Waiting on the PSA A2 (or better yet A1!) upper...
