Truth be told I sent the lower to have the pivot pin drilled but was also in the middle of a move and have misplaced my hammer. The round profile hammers always seem to feel smoother and since I need a replacement anyway I thought now would be a perfect time

In that case, the most likely scenario would be that you might find an OEM take-off used on the EE--in which case it will almost certainly have a notched hammer.
Your next best option that's not an utter crap shoot would be to simply order a hammer from SAW and pay the piper.
However--honestly in your situation, what I would do is to simply buy a Geissele .170 pin SSA or SSA-E (depending on your preferences). They're honestly not that pricey, and more than likely you should be able to find one with a vendor (or possibly Geissele themselves) at a discount during a Forth of July Sale, and they're not likely to be one of the "must be on the computer at exactly midnight or you'll miss it" items. If you're going to end up paying a chunk of change for a marginal perceived improvement to the FCG, and you don't have any desire of simply returning it to stock, you may as well pay the extra, and pick up one of the best FCGs on the market.
