Hi All,
Quick question for you. After reading a lot discussion (on this site and others), I've decided to purchase a Colt 6920 OEM2 for my first AR-15 style rifle. Most sellers are out of stock of these, but I've found one for 779.99 + 29.99 (828.98 total), plus another 30 for my FFL which would bring the total cost to just under 860. I know these can (typically) be found for less, and I'm not really in a rush to have an AR style rifle right now (mainly focusing on handgun shooting and getting my CCL), but I'm a bit hesitant about not jumping on it now that a seller has one in stock (plus the normal election year fears). A couple of online retailers don't know when they'll be getting anymore in (some have told me they haven't had any since last summer), although when I called Colt a couple days ago, I believe they said they had just finished a batch and will be starting another in December.
As I mentioned, I'm more focused on my handgun shooting right now, and would mainly get the rifle to have one (and occasionally shoot it). I also have an M&P 15-22 to tide me over and teach me some basics. I'm more just worried about potential out of stock issues continuing (low production/popular model??) and any upcoming political changes. In light of all this, would you guys (and gals) suggest I jump on this or go ahead and wait until I can find one in the lower 700's from a place with free shipping?
Thanks all!
