I posted this in the Precision optic section before thinking about checking in here. So, since I'm likely to get good informed info here, I'll cross post.
Looking at Vortex scopes to top an AR10 that will have its legs stretched to 1K on occasion, but will mostly shoot inside of that distance.
It will be an all around gun - some precision matches, hunting, fun shooting, etc.
This is my first foray into higher end optics and I feel like I'm learning everything over again. Unfortunately while I have found some PST's in my area, no one carries a Razor so I'm unable to do a side by side comparison.
So, dumb question, realistically, what are the big differences between the PST and the Razor? I did a side by side comparison of the two on vortex's website & the biggest difference (to me) is that the Razor's tube is 35 mm whereas the PST's is 30mm. I'm guessing that that difference will help with light transmission?
The other standout is its amount of adjustment, which I'm not sure will affect me too much to worry about.
So, realistically what's the difference between them?
