I have been trying to select a new rifle and trying to decide on which option to go with. I have many over the many years. With my past military experience I want something top notch. And with Larues customer service you guys are seriously one of my top choices. There is no doubt that the OBRs are a well liked weapon. Now from my years in service one of the few things I disliked when is was the weapon maintenance after a range trip. I think the AR style weapon compared to other design is really a crappy firearm to clean. Piston weapons on the other hand are a different and cleaner option to decide on. So now my question. I'm not asking Larue to tell me why I should choose his over another company. But when Larue was designing the newer OBR models, why did your company decide to stay with the traditional AR gas system and not move over to a piston system? What are technical differences between between two roughly 2k rifles such as an OBR and LWRC, gas/piston. This is my hang up. Thanks for any input.
