Thanks D3. Gonna be interesting to see what loads pan out best for the 260. Don't have one on order yet.
Still holding my breath for a Sparrel cartridge. |

.71" test target for my 22" .260.
Going to Glamis this weekend with my buggy but planning on the following weekend for SE Utah to do some long gun shooting. |

Give the laziest man the hardest job and he will find the easiest way to do it.

Waiting on ammo, hopefully this weekend

Case of prime will be delivered on Friday.
Interestingly the CEO of prime called to thank me shortly after I placed my order. The order shipped the same day. Now that is LT like service. |

Should I assume they were shooting bolt guns? Yep. All bolt guns. I had the only gasser in the class. None of the guys had trouble reaching out to 1k with either 308 or 6.5 creed. There were no 260s there unfortunately. Really nice guy. And he told us that he personally tries to call everyone that orders from them to say thanks and get feedback. If I recall correct the brass is Norma brass with Prime stamp and the ammo is made in Sweden. |

Ha, of course now that I want to head to the range, global warming, which had the temps in the upper 70's for the last week, has gone away and now it's 40 degrees with 30mph winds and snow possible tomorrow. The range is closed for an event Saturday but Sunday's weather looks decent.

I should have ordered some of the ABM to do some testing, but at $2 a round, I just couldn't pull the trigger. |

I ordered 2 boxes of ABM to compare since mine was shot with that also. Sheet says Gerber but I guess DB spelled it wrong.

ETA: I have some Lapua brass coming, which will go with the Norma (Prime) and FGMM, and have a wide-variety of .264 bullets, so hopefully I can start to work up some handloads. |

I hope to outshoot the shootist this weekend. Of course the shootist had an unfair advantage using those "Gerber" bullets. I hear that they are made of unobtainium and you have to use a "Holdiays" Dillo to open the box. |

Mine shot a .347 group that I can easily cover with a dime.
It's a 22" and says 130 Berger match on the target hope the prime shoots better I see a .3 group in my future. |

Well, need to find out a few things. I switched to the 16" 7.62 barrel and ejection was aroud 5 o'clock unsuppressed with unsuppressed setting 147gr Federal cheapies and a couple of 168FGMM. Put the TQ on it with 168 FGMM and there was no ejection so I hand-cycled. H2 buffer in the .260 setup.

Okay, today is range day! Weather is mostly cloudy with a high of 45 degrees, no to light winds and no chance of precipitation. I have a case of FGMM but only one box of Prime so I'll focus on the FGMM. The plan is to:
- Zero the rifle with the Vortex 5-20x50 at 100 yards using FGGM - Test the Prime against the FGMM once zero is established to see the spread from zero - Test the FGMM for spread from zero using the TQ - Test the Prime for spread from zero using the TQ - Magnetospeed the FGMM - Magnetospeed the Prime - Magnetospeed the FGMM with the TQ - Magnetospeed the Prime with the TQ I think that about covers it. If there's anything you think I should add, reply in the thread before 10am EST and I'll add it to the list. I'll check while I'm at the range, but the interweb is spotty. ETA - Guess it's a bit colder than I thought since there are flakes in the air! |

Can't wait to see some results. I was going to go on Sunday. But looks like rain is in the forecast. And I have some Hornady ELD coming in next Tuesday. Maybe wait till the following week.
