Can someone point me to the preferred barrel break in for a Larue barrel.
Thanks in advance. Tried looking on the site but I guess the whole internet is melting right now. |

2) Shoot quality ammo 3) repeat steps one and two until accuracy degrades 4) When accuracy degrades clean (every 100-200 rounds) clean then repeat steps one through three. |

I should have one here in side of the week and I wanted to be sure I followed manufacturers recommendations to the letter. I will gladly get the barrel back down to you for comparison groups but that is another discussion for another day. I did see you shoot MOA in a minute and that is impressive although off the topic I wanted to hit on for now. |

So...Is there a break in procedure or no? I remember there being something about not breaking in mentioned in the past but I just don't follow stuff like that too close. I wanted to clarify.

Like the Tanker Garand, sounds like a good idea until you can't find 1 armored soldier that ever saw one until the 70's. "Break in" should take at least 10,000 rounds, but your results may vary. |

So you're not a man of science then? You're going to pass at a great opportunity to fairly conduct sciencing and witnesses to prove things once and for all? You don't want to mend things with Mark afterwards?
Interesting. I guess it really isn't just science things after all. |

Or do you not support science? And speaking of which, is your bolt matching with the barrel, because science and all that. Just science things is really important. |

Either way the question was about break in and I got the answer from the man himself. I was simply asked if I had gotten it yet and figured I would share that I had. Not sure why you keep bringing up science and doing something that I already said I wasn't interested in doing. |

I can't do your homework for you Ah thats fine I won't bother there are some match loads in 5.56 most noticeably the 262 clones pushed out by the fine folks at black hills but seems most people have better luck with the .223 brothers. I have a good quantity of cbc 77 grain OTM that is a 5.56 match round that is ok for general purpose work but have always been told that tighter chambered .223 is the way to rock and roll. I figured I would put a few down the pipe but if they are magic beans I suppose I will avert my attention else where. |
