About the background question. Do people need a specific background to make a post, not at all. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I have no issues with that. That being said, if someone with a random background is talking shit on a guy like Nick then all he is, is an armchair quarterback, and how many of you would appreciate someone sharp-shooting you who hasn't stood in your shoes or hasn't quantified his comment which is summed up in, "he's a dousche?" Oh and there's the fact that I was a sniper at 2/75 for over four years, some of which overlapped Nick's time at 3/75...so now you have someone who's background I don't know, making general comments about a guy who was in the same organization as myself, who served in the much smaller niche (as a sniper from the Regiment) at the same time I did. Last time I checked, loyalty is still a thing out there. Does that put things in perspective a bit for everyone?
S2S, if you want to keep your career quiet, I don't have an issue with that at all. Just quantify your opinion of why he's making soldiers look like dousches, as you so eloquently put it. Just realize, as a guy who spent over 10 years in the Rgt, I don't know you from a cook, from a mechanic, from a finance clerk, from a fister, etc. Until you give a more specific comment or you give a general background, so I can see where your relative viewpoint is from, I'll continue to see it as coming from an armchair quarterback.
