Beginning to think the Q1 parts will have already been banned by the time m4 cuts start getting made.

Been a bit since I called. Was worried about entering the wrong cc number and was told working on ban states. This was months ago, but I'm hoping they're trying to get everything out to those who have a cutoff date first. Not in a state at any worry for me, but would be cool if that's what they were doing.

Mark,
Could we please get any kind of update on our Q1 orders, I know there are other things in the works that have your attention/priority, just looking for some light at the end of the tunnel. THanks |

I know the guys in CA and maybe a few other states are worried about legislative action impacting if they can use their upper. Thankfully, in NC I don't think I am in as much of a time crunch. If others like me don't mind letting those in the other states in question get their orders first, I would be happy to be put on the list to wait out the time crunch and help those behind the line get their orders in time.
Thanks again Mark |

I had to call yesterday to update some orders with my Gift Card and asked about the Q1. I was told they had to focus on getting the lowers out. I'm sure they want to be done with the Q1 stuff as soon as possible so I doubt they're dragging ass just to delay this longer.

View Quote Got to spend a few minutes talking with Mark yesterday during the LaRue Armorer's course in Leander. He was asked to fulfill a short notice contract for our brothers down range involving a very complex piece of hardware that is occupying NINETEEN of his CNC machines basically full time for the next several months. This is obviously having a direct impact on delivery of BuildAR 1st quarter orders, as well as other aspects of his production line. Hard as it is to be patient for another "2 weeks", I think we can all agree this was not an issue he could have foreseen or planned for. I appreciate everything Mark and crew continue to do for our troops (and family members) down range. I also also appreciate him opening up the Armorer's course to non-active duty participants. For those of you on the fence about taking the course, I highly recommend it. Our Instructor, Robert Gee was outstanding. His knowledge of the AR platform, and LaRue variants in particular, was extensive. The course manual is well laid out and comprehensive with regard to both the normal structure and function of LaRue rifles, and also included a well laid out section on malfunction causes and corrective actions. Of course the lunchtime Bar-B-Q, and end of course SWAG bag were icing on the cake. Not to mention getting some serious face time with Mark himself. All in all, a great experience and worth the cost. Hope this helps explain the current lead time for 1st quarter items. So put your feet up, grab another REK Honey Pilsner, and we'll keep waiting this out. Christmas will get here. Someday. |

I'll let Mark chime in if he wants to. Let's just say it's a piece of equipment that likely will never be released to non military. It is one sweet piece of engineering that our boys are going to really appreciate when CAS is not immediately available. Did get an up close and personal look at Mark's redesigned 7.62 mags. Several key improvements with almost no change in size. Can't wait to get to the range.

Not trying to be overly cryptic about this, but we weren't allowed to visit the shop because the production of the part is spread out over several areas. Too bad. I was really stoked about seeing the Worm Hole. Or at least the War Wagon. Who knows, maybe someday Mark will allow a Bar-B-Q at the shop for the remaining BuildARS and or Armorers. I'm thinking right next to the catfish pond would be real nice

This is unfortunate news for me. I had sold off all my upper end AR's awhile back leaving me with just my scratch builds. I wanted one a bit higher end before that dumb hooker takes this rigged election. Seeing how the government can cut in line puts me in a much higher risk of not getting a tOBR or a good AR period before some BS AW ban gets shoved down our throats. I just went out locally and picked up a DD to fill the slot. Going to cancel my Larue order for now. Might order one again in the future depending on political and economic environment after the election. (If we are still allowed to). |

Hope this helps explain the current lead time for 1st quarter items. So put your feet up, grab another REK Honey Pilsner, and we'll keep waiting this out. Christmas will get here. Someday. Why cancel? I found that even though I have waited 11 weeks for the tOBR, talk of others joking about what "two weeks" means, seeing others wait over a year etc never really bothered me much. When I ordered a lot were waiting less than 2 months from what I could find but then Dallas happened piling up the wait time and 2 more months was added to my wait time which I was fine with, I thought it'll be done when it gets done. However, with this news the thought came that I could really be caught behind the 8 ball and get my order pushed way back. I tend to hope for the best but I plan for the worst. This news changed the game for me as I plan the next year or two. I have(had) the cash to right now for 1 setup how I want it but with other things I need to buy over the next year there is no way I can keep that order in an hope to buy it within the next year. That's kind of the nail in the coffin. |

Got to spend a few minutes talking with Mark yesterday during the LaRue Armorer's course in Leander. Keep the order and when you get it sell the DD View Quote Not in the budget. I set $2600 aside for the rifle itself and $1600 of that is now used. I'm not tapping into other funds even on a temp basis I already have my fun money budgeted and committed for (suppressors, ammo, vacations etc). Sucks having to cancel, would have been nice to have a Larue but not critical. |

You aren't billed for it till it ships. On top of that the only current way to get one is through the BuildAR. Just flip it on the EE if you can't afford to keep it once it ships.

Basically he spent his "budget" on other things. So using the delay in production as a reason for cancelling isn't really truthful, he's already spent the money. Simple now move along. |

Eaxctly, Got two suppressors on the way and a chance of a lifetime expensive ass scuba trip to the Philippines coming up in 2017 I'm committed to and still in the midst of paying for. I would lose a lot more than what the Larue I had ordered is worth if I had to postpone or cancel. I also have no patience to negotiate every Joe public that has watched Pawn Stars in an effort to flip the rifle. Still getting what I want for a rifle, just not my first choice is all. Maybe later |

Be mindful of the Abu Sayyef terrorists if you're diving in the southern islands. |

View Quote Yeah, El Nido, Palawan was on the list but scratched it for a little extra time in Coron instead and hit a few islands between there and Bohol/Cebu and try to find some whale sharks in open water vs a tourist feeding site. Rebel activity is pretty much been South of Peurto Princess, Palawan and Mindanao. With the bombing in Davao City the Philippine Govt has been on an extermination campaign. We'll be keeping our distance from that affair. |
