[Last Edit: MrNevada]
My 7.62 PredatAR has seen a little less use these days. The barrel is getting up there in age/round count, and it's just not doing what I need. If I were to quantify it, the groups that used to average in the .3" for 5 shots have since opened up to .7". It's just becoming too much to watch it suffer anymore. After over 6k through the tube, I can't let my baby sit in the safe anymore.
After an email or two to get things set up and a phone call to the shop for technical advice (based on the emails) my 7.62 PredatAR is getting a facelift. And boy is it ever! Thanks so much for the advice from Mr. LaRue and Mr. Fingar! (I'll keep this updated as this facelift project continues) Update 1: Order # 312093 Pending (27 Jan) Update 2: Order # 312093 GTG (28 Jan) Update 3: Order # 312093 Shipped (29 Jan) one day shipping in Texas is a wonderful thing! (ETA: They said it was going to take over a week to get it shipped out. It actually shipped a little over 36 hours after I ordered.) Update 4: Order # 312093 Out For Delivery (1 Feb) Update 5: Order # 312093 Delivered (1 Feb) Of course, I'm at work. I'm getting the wife to send me pics of the box. Update 6: Last Item is scheduled for delivery today. |

Tagged to watch the progress....
...One question though, when you do a facelift on an AR does the bolt catch end up somewhere around the safety?.... |

oh well what the hell I'm in!
DAY 1 ETA - I like how "opened up" goes from .3" to .7"....6k rounds and you're still sub MOA - I'd say you got a keeper but that's just me |

This gun is old enough that it came with a Geisselle trigger (before the AR Gold even), the Magpul Stock, and (gasp) the LW-50 1/11.25 twist barrel. |

What are they doing?
