Got the BCG in today. Went to lube it up to put in the Stealth 2.0 and notice the gas key wasn't staked. Thought it was odd but I know some manufacturers don't. Came here to look at pics of those who posted, it appears most are staked. Of all the photos as far as I can see S2S's and mine are not staked.
ETA: it is a thing of beauty though. |

Mark,
Maybe it's because these things have been unobtainum since something like 2010/2011 when some jackhole kept giving you the run around about who your supplier was and what testing was done on the BCG but .... I have to say.... my face, when I got the first peak at the BCG as the packaging was removed, went from to in an instant, without any thought. It was a steep price to pay for a BCG for sure but it certainly helps finish off the first round of BuildAR's in a proper way....I just wish you'd offer the remaining LPK parts for a few bucks to really wrap these up with 100% LT sourced parts. Thanks again! PS: Got any plans for building a newer revision of your gas block? This build is so lightweight that I just feel wrong installing this ultra heavy LT202-2 on the 5.56 PredatAR Barrel. Things are built like a tank for sure but you could get the same strength and drop the weight notably by simply making them about half as long as they currently are. |

Kicked the BCM BCG to the curb and installed the LT today.

still undecided what i am going to do with mine. i have 2 uppers that i already bought nice NiB BCGs for so i might just put the LT BCG up for now and use it for trade bait at a later date.

Trying to decide if I should call the mothership about the lack of staking, try to borrow a staking tool from someone and do it myself or just let it ride as is.

Is it still possible to get on the BuildAr list? I've already bought a stealth barrel and Mbt this month

I wish, but I doubt it. I also have bought an MBT, Barrel and Furniture but I think the enrollment period was 2 years ago

Is it too early to start asking for a Grendel barrel for quarter 3?

i would be down for a 6.5G upper for Q3
a barrel/bolt combo would be great with the possible addition of an upper to go with it would make it the perfect package. in RO of course though to match my RO lower. |

I like where this conversation is headed.
I wonder if LT 6.5 barrels include standard or M4 ramps? |

Definitely in for a barrel/bolt combo. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up the 300 BO barrel back at Q1.

I couldn't take up the IPO 6.5G but if made available for the BuildARs, I would definitely be in...really tempting that IPO was!

|

[#45]
I think I am one of the few who would be against the 6.5 Grendel barrel and bolt combo. Would be interesting to see how many people on the list picked up the 6.5 IPO. By the 7th round, I think we have reached the end of major parts left to BuildAR, unless Mark plans to offer a killer deal on a TranQuilo or perhaps the Corto? I'll stay till the list ends or the money runs out, but I think its time the Build762 or Build1911 starts.

Corto would be awesome

I'm in it to win it so whatever Mark decides to offer us I'll be down for. It wouldn't upset me to get offered another lower or BCG though.
