I do think MI could have saved some weight by cutting out portions of the mount here and there and leaving enough to support the optic, JMO. Hopefully, LaRue's is similar to their RMR mounts and saves some weight (I'll be needing either a mini ACOG for my next rifle or another MRO). |

Well...
The MI mount looks interesting but still about as much as the Larue will be. Also, only height offered is lower 1/3 cowit, sort of dumb if you have front and rear folding sights. Waiting, waiting. Need QD, cause things loosen in the field and I don't carry a hex or torqx set. Which ever it was. |

Question for Larue kinda!
I was wondering, will your MRO have riser sections, or be one solid mount at a fixed height as with your other excellent mounts? Just wondering because it would be night to less expensively be able to switch the optic AND mount between guns. Absolute for AR's with folding BUIS, lower 1/3 for AR's with fixed front sights, and low for various others. If riser sections were (optimistically) $35 each, I'm sure many of us would stock up. Any info on any of this? |

LaRue will likely be well over $100 (and worth it). |

As in, lowest price you could hope to pay for an optic, and the rest being the cost for the mount. Isn't that generally under $100? I'd look but Larue's website doesn't work on my PC at home or computers at work. (Microsoft and their Scorched Earth policy since releasing Windoes 10?) Still, MI only overs lower 1/3, and that would be dumb to buy. |

I knew at the time I could shop around and save a few dollars but I wanted to order from a main vendor with all of the negative news the MRo was getting. |

Check and make sure the $400 versions are coming with the mount.

Just purchased a mount less version of the MRO for $398 with a 5% off coupon code "TISC556" plus free ship. Patiently waiting for Mark to release the mount. Now I have to figure what to do with the Aimpoint Micro H-1 I got for the same price from PSA on Black Friday?

They are still $419 when added to cart. You just have to find a working coupon now to drop it down a little. I think there are 10% off ones floating around. I love my Aimpoints but at sub $400 it was hard to pass up. Actually wish I could afford to buy two.

Now, I'll just wait for LaRue to offer mounts. Damn, missed a chance for a page ownership. |

I wish I could have purchased two but I'll be okay with just one after thinking about it. I'll run it on my main go-to SBR for now to see how it goes since we are pretty much early adopters of the MRO. Didn't want to invest too much money into the model just yet.

Got mine from Primary Arms on Black Friday for $398 shipped, no mount. I was in the market for a T2 but I love my ACOG and there is no way the T2 is twice as good as the Trijicon. It's arrival is what got me to this thread. I read the whole thread but the question remains... How long for the Larue Mount?
I am not in a huge rush because this is going on an MP5 clone I am waiting on my stamp for but I can still get it sighted in in the meantime. |

I really need an MRO mount. Anyone have a factory lower 1/3 mount they're not using?
Nevermind. Bought one off of freaking ebay cuz the LaRue model isn't available yet. |

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

Still nothing?!?

Now would be a good time for LaRue to release this optic/mount combo, with EOTechgate and all.....

I'm hoping they come in time for a 2015 HH Dillo

My dilemma: I just filled out my Eotech RMA form and plan to replace it with an MRO, but most sites have raised their prices in the last few days.
1. Should I just buy the MRO now? ( sucks it's right before Christmas) 2. Arms unlimited has them for $450 w basic mount. Another place has them for $493 w ADM QD mount. All of my QD mounts are Larue. Are ADM mounts decent until Larue releases theirs? 3. Should I take the chance of waiting for my refund from eotech, then order MRO (who knows what prices will be by then) Thanks for any advice |
|
|
The one ADM mount that I have (Leupold Deltapoint, Larue doesn't make one) feels like I'm grinding rusty gears when working the qd lever. Also, the adjustment mechanism is horrendous. You're better off using QD duct tape
|
|
|
Also, not sure what it's at now but I bought my mro from ky gun co for under 400

AFAIK, they've never made a direct copy of anyone else's mount. Keep it until LaRue drops their version. |

I do not plan on replacing them either, they are solid mounts. Just to be clear, I do have both ADM and Larue mounts and I like them both and have had vey positive experiences with both. IMO, you cannot go wrong either way. |

I have 3 weeks off for Christmas coming up, I sure wish I could take my MRO out of the box and mount it on my rifle to try it out. I wonder if the scout sniper contract has anything to do with the delay.
