I've had my OBR for awhile, put on one of those SF MB that were made the deep set silencers. Had to have it after seeing one of MF photos setup.
I used the provided Rocksett, had a hell of a time getting it timed, so it was torqued to atleast 50 purse weight.
Finally got a Surefire silencer, but couldn't use on the 762 OBR - purchased a new SF MB.
Didn't want to damage my prized rifle, got it to a nice GS south of me.... the two guys worked it over.. called me up saying they couldn't get it off, offering to cut the MB off. Said not a chance, paid my bill. Looked up a bit more, found that the Rocksett is water soluble. Figured what the hell.. setup the Ultrasonic cleaner with distilled water, suspended it so only the MB was submerged. 1.5 hrs later, dried it off, wrapped it up in a old dog blanket, sat on it, asked the wife to wrench it, ( I know what your thinking.... but she does carry a purse all day-everyday!!)
Poof... MB came right off
Family photo....and no, pink one isn't mine... the tAR is the wifey's rifle.
Hope this helps someone else who went all hulk when they installed their brake/hider and used Rocksett.
Crappy part is it looks like they either marred my barrel in the vice..down to the "white" or the aluminum vice block left so much aluminium on the barrel, scrubbing at it, cleaners did nothing to remove it....
