Woooo shipment notice for delivery tomorrow! Wish I was getting back in town before Monday though Can you ask your porch thievin' neighbor to read the instructions and post an AAR ? I provided the guard dog with the combination to the safe and ordered him to take action against any and all thieving neighbors Now if I could just teach him to install a trigger group |

Awesome. Set to arrive on my anniversary. Should I spend more time with my wife? Or the trigger?

Winner list has been stuck on level 42 () for several days. Is it being updated? Mark's been doing it in spurts. I assume he's busy with the company doing both Xmas orders and Xmas stuff at the company. I kinda dig the anticipation. Quoted:
On a return flight from the panhandle yesterday, smooth sailing until I was 20 minutes out ... storm was passing over the field. I orbited around to the north awhile, but decided to land at San Saba, Tx, get fuel, and kill time. My trusty Garmin 295 said the field had barely clothed line-girls and hot coffee and cookies. Well, it actually said Jet Fuel / Av Gas, I derived the rest from the fact they had Jet. Nobody answered the Unicom ... I assumed it was because they were all outside watching Mr. Oilfield's Hollywood-actress daughter step out of the KingAir like she does at Christmas every year. I could just see the hubbub when Mr. LaRue slid onto the field in his late-60s classic Navion "H" Rangemaster. Shouts of "Hey, get that KingAir out of the way !!! It's Mr. LaRue !!!" After landing at the field (from the air it looked like it had been over-run by Zombies) I taxied up to the no-credit-card pumps. Damn, cash only, but you gotta call somebody in town. Well shucks, I'll use the rest rooms and grab some of that hot coffee. Both toilets were plugged. I still had plenty and then some in the main to make it and the storm moved off my home field. - The End - Here's a random shop pic ... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v145/AUSTINWFT/LT%20Post/photo_zps8c2b3fd3.jpg Now that's what I call a gun rack! Yep, got my UPS confirmation too! Tomorrow will be a clean underwear day! |

Can't wait to see that next $500+ charge come across the airwaves.

If you use MyUPS (free account) you can have inbound packages held for will call. I do it for essentially 100% of inbound packages.
You also get an email when you have a new inbound package, even if the sender didn't send you the tracking number. |

I just had to leave for the weekend, but someone should be at the house so I'm not as worried. I actually just looked and it seems it was on the truck for delivery as of 2:21AM |

UPS is on the ball this morning... trigger showed up. First impressions: 1) Packaging is very, very well done. In fact, this is the only trigger I have that hasn't shown up in a ziploc baggie. 2) Score - My trigger is 007 - thanks for engraving the 100 'give away' triggers 3) Machining looks perfect, as does the finish. The disconnector is not held in by the trigger pin, so there is no pre-assembly or slave pin needed to hold it together. 4) Installation - I dropped it into a bare lower to get an idea how it feels, there's one or two triggers this could 'bump' and I wanted to do as few trigger swaps as possible. Using a G-trigger alignment thingy, installed very easily. How does it feel... Well it's a hell of a nice 2 stage. Really nice in fact. The pull is right on the money as described 4 pounds 8.3 ounce average after 10 measured pulls. Maybe 1 or 2 oz variation, but that's on a bare lower in a rest. First stage is very smooth 2.5 pounds, where you hit a wall and another 2 pounds breaks the trigger. Good positive reset, not as short as an AR-Gold. I will be moving some triggers around and in the next day or two will do a bit more of a write-up and see if I can't give a comparison against a few of the triggers I have. And more importantly, go and shoot it. View Quote thanks for the information and congrats!!! |

Mine's been delivered but I won't get hands on it until I get home later...
Did it come by itself or did it have the usual Larue swag with it? |

Still hoping I win!! But just in case I don't. I've placed my order long ago.
|
|
I hope I win too (as does everyone else). I need to replace my Wilson single stage TTU. If it isn't kept absolutely slathered with lubricant, it sticks and you have to use your finger to manually reset it...... Extremely nice trigger when its working correctly. In the mean time, until I can sneak the money for an MBT out of my wife's purse, I am going to have to try different lubricants on it. Spray Rem oil isn't cutting it, dries out too quickly.... And no hit it with your purse comments! BTW, if I get caught trying to sneak the money out of my wife's purse, she's gonna hit me with it, and that can be hazardous to your health!!!! It's 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide, and weighs more than my old gun safe.... In fact, she may have my old gun safe in that purse... She's taken concealed carry to the extreme!!!!!

I got a tracking number from Larue, but it was for some other items I ordered yesterday.
They showed up, but no trigger yet. |

DROOL!!!!! |

Dear Mark,
I would like to thank you for your excellent use of the ran-dumb number generator. You have held off selecting me to win an MBT so far, so my chances of winning trigger #097 are going up. Of course, 97 is the highest prime number less than 100. Yes, I'm a geek. But now that we are getting close to the end of the contest, it's about time to select one of my entries. Many Thanks! PS - If I don't win, I'll still be thrilled with the super fast trigger in my tOBR that Governor Perry tested and achieved a sub 0.5" group. That was definitely a HUGE win for me! |
|
I received shipping notification today. Should be here tues. I'm off Wed so sounds like time for a trip to the range. Thanks again Mark.
