I know this is slightly off topic, but would anyone be interested in trading a 20" OBR barrel for an 18"?
As in, I have the 18" and I'd like a 20" |

I would trade you my 14.5 FG barrel & handguard. It has 43 rounds of FGMM through it and it was properly broke in as well. |

I'm interested in trading my 18" Field Grade 762 tOBR barrel/handguard for a 14.5" Field Grade barrel/handguard. Prefer a SF SOCOM brake to be p&w, I can add LT items to even out the trade (if yours has a SF SOCOM brake, etc).
Anybody interested? |

I was thinking to build a beater rifle around my field grade barrel once I got my match grade barrel, but it looks like they are proprietary. I really don't see why I would ever want to put the field grade barrel back on the rifle once I have the match grade. And, I don't see Larue selling me a spare PredatOBR upper any time soon. :) What's proprietary about it? Just the barrel nut? As long as the nut will fit under other handguards/rails, should be fine. Or am I missing something (I dont have my hands on a tOBR yet). Otherwise, once I get my match barrel, my field grade will find a new home in a chopped tAR chassis. Take a look at this write up. He talks about the barrel being proprietary. [div style='text-indent: 20px;'] http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/630601935/m/7820092633 From the article you linked: But what about the shooter that wants to shoot <1" now? I asked the LaRue representative if the barrels were proprietary spec'd and he said no. Unfortunately, the barrel collar is proprietary and LaRue is not making them available so even if you do get a Shilen, or Lilja, you won't be able to mount it on your PredatOBR without some how extracting the existing bbl collar from the factory field-grade barrel. If you are wondering, the field grade barrels have the same chamber specs as the match grade barrels will. |

I would be interested in trading my 14.5" 5.56 with socom brake for a 14.5" 5.56 with A2.
I'm going to be getting it cut off to put an AAC on it and I would hate to ruin a perfectly good surefire. Barrels should have similar test group sizes and a little cash on your end. |

Have a 16" 5.56 Match grade barrel and handguard for trade for a 14.5" barrel with a surefire socom muzzle device on it. Don't care if it's a brake or flash hider but must be the socom. My test target is .595

I think the balance of the 14.5 is very nice! The rifle feels shorter but as for weight? Eh, that is difficult for me to say, I cant really tell much difference in the weight as I think with my Mark 6 3-18x on top and a bipod, I have plenty of weight to go around. The 16" was a little tipsy towards the muzzle end of the rifle, I could tell it was leveraging in that direction. Recoil? I definitely notice a difference, the 14.5 jumps quite a bit compared to the 16 which seemed to stay closer to my original POA when firing off multiple rounds in quick succession. I just lean into it more with the 14.5, of course when I get my match grade barrel, it will be a 16" and I will really be able to tell you how things feel. |

OK, anyone interested in trading their 14.5" 7.62 barrel and corresponding handguard for my 18" 7.62 bbl and corresponding handguard? My 18" is an unfired Field Grade with SF muzzlebrake. Would be looking for something similar in 14.5" if possible. Thanks!
