Im at work and have had time to think about this.
What about those of us who don't not want or need a qd rail system? I was under the impression the tOBR was a PredatAR chassis (which is far superior than anything else I have used) with a OBR barrel. Just like the C/E minus the accessories? Will this be available in this config or not? edit: for 5.56 |

damn you mark for not updating back in october. i will admit i am a damn fool for not waiting longer after i had hit the 32 week mark, especially if you are able to swap out barrels that quick. you've done an excellent job and have now set the standard on the ar platform. i ordered 2 jp rifles and have given $5000.00 down , it's to late cause i would be taking a 15% hit. can't wait to see test groups from you guys. i hate you MARKKK

Well if its a redesign, it would esplane da wait.
But makes me wonder. Is there something wrong witht the first tobr design that had you redesign it? |

i've been hunting this one black and brown pig i had named spotty. well guess what, his name is now mark freakin larue. if i see him this weekend i'm gonna shoot him behind the ear to drop his ass, walk up to him and kick him in the face, turn him on his back spread his legs and kick him in the nuts, then put a bullet between the eyes and then proceed to chop his damn head off with the dullest of knives, and as i walk away leaving the remains for the buzzards and coyotes to consume i'll ask why couldn't you have updated us back in october. all kidding aside and i am kidding of course, i am so hating myself for cancelling my order for 2 7.62 tobrs. if anyone in the san antonio area will be recieving a tobr and sure would appreciate it if i was allowed to handle one. i sure do love the caliber barrel swap option. great job MARKKK.

I was looking forward to SHOT. Now I'm REALLY looking forward to SHOT. Can't wait to hold the real tOBR .
Now if we can just get Surefire to crank out more of the new FH's and MB's to install on those 14.5"ers. Great marketing props to LT. Way to overhang the market a couple days before Turkey Day. Definitely helps folks budget for the coming shopping season and next year. Now back to the task at hand... where the hell is my 556 tAR ? |

I'm definitely in for a 7.62 SC, but I didn't bother with the 7.62 Hybrid because I got a 7.62 OBR for the heavy gun, and a PredatAR for the lightweight one. If I was going to lug around the heavy barrel, I figured I might as well have the 20moa rail on the top. I considered a 7.62 Hybrid as a more portable version of the OBR, but hadn't jumped on it yet. I'm all over the SC, though. I'm wondering how small a package you can break that 14.5" 7.62 down to. I'm thinking LT "gym bag", here... |

I chose the backpacking because I figured all the manufacturers were so swamped with orders there wouldn't be a ton of new stuff that I would care about. Here's hoping I get the one I ordered, soon... BTW, I don't consider yet another 1911 with different grips and a different engraving a new product. |

I can imagine 2 maybe 3 years from mow having a suitcase 556 with 3 barrels. One 556 heavy with adjustable gas block One 555 light exactly like the current PredatAR and a 300 blackout heavy for the ultimate setup What I dream of but doubt will ever happen without Costa or Nugent requesting it is a full kit with the above three barrels in 16 inches and a SBR KIT with shorter handgaurd for 8-10 barrels one rifle 5-6 barrels and 2 different handgaurds If this is the new suitcase rifle how does the buffer tube come off ?? |

Might I suggest that a divorce lawyer come with a purchase. Doesn't have to be a good one. Just good enough to win us our guns, namely any LT weapon one may have. At least a free divorce lawyer consultation. |

The webpage said - Pre-Order and on the phone they said Pre-production so they tweaked it its for the better and freaking awesome and oh so beautiful. No complaints here on it being the 'suitcase rifle" I eagerly await my tOBR. I was originally told I'd have it October, and then well before Nov. 6th, and after we passed that I was getting concerned but this does a lot to raise the hope factor I'll get it in hand soon. Probably, have to wait until next year's deer season to get it gtg for hunting, but I can hopefully use it for spring Hogs :) Excellent job to everyone at LT! Everyone there enjoy your Thanksgiving with your families, rest up, and then when you come back to work next week crank these babies out! :D fingar - more tOBR photos please :) |

I nominate SCOBR as the new designation for this rifle. The old designation of PredatOBR implies that there is something of the PredatAR in it, and I think that just isn't the case in this iteration.

I'm sure there will still be a good bit of new stuff. My highest priority is getting time frames from manufacturers ( especially Leupold and S&W) on the stuff that was announced for Spring 2012 but still is not out. I like to get the info face-to-face from the company reps I know and trust. They tell you stuff in person if they know you can keep a secret. Helps me plan and budget. And with LT, I get to fondle the new goods and briefly hangout with some SHOT 2013 dillo whores. |
