Heads-up, I am tired of the uninformed talking smack about sh*t they know nothing about.
My reaction to the constant "What does LaRue's bolt carrier group smell like ?" is to pull them down off the website. If you are waiting on bolt carrier groups from us already, no worries, you'll get them. If you wondering what the catalyst was, go ––->"Here" My thanks to all of you that own BCGs put together by us, and yeppers, we're backing them a hunnert percent. For those of you that didn't get in under-the-wire, go talk to vicious_cb and olds442tyguy. |

Don't punish the rest of us because of two e-commandos! I was waiting for my paycheck so I could order two spares! Nbot |
|
Will this affect the bcg in the complete stealth uppers in any way?
|
|
WTF. Don't let a couple of TOOLS stop U from keeping the rest of us happy Mark.
|
|
that sucks, the idiots love to hate.
i look forward to supporting you somtime in the future when i do my next build. |

So let me see if I understand this.....
Two random guys on the internet comment on your BCG's, you get into a big pissing match with them, then proceed to stop selling your BCG because you're mad.... What are you 12? What rational business or marketing reason would you ever do this? Are the margins so slim on a contracted part that you're going to just stop selling it? This is silly and immature and makes you look like a child throwing a tantrum. Seriously, hire someone to post on the internet for you, you make a great product but you totally fail at interacting with people with any modicum of tact, maturity and professionalism. This is for the Mark LaRue fan club: I DID NOT SAY HIS PRODUCTS SUCK, I SAID THAT HIS BEHAVIOR IS SILLY, IMMATURE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. |
|
who really reads this site anyways ... there's always naysayers on each side.
If people are beating a path to your door then you are doing it right. |
|
Nope, I've had it, them two cruise every board on the books acting like I'm fluckin' the sh*t out of the unsuspecting.
By yanking those BCGs, I don't have to listen to it, address it, give a sh*t about it. Enough is enough, we don't need the money that bad. LaRue |

LaRue No, by yanking those BCG's you simply lose profit from sales. If it's not the BCGs it will be something else and you could have(and still can) chosen not to listen to it, address it, or give a shit about it in the first place. Seriously, if you can't just ignore it and let it go maybe you should seek some professional help, and find a medication or something. |

Ooo... Does someone have their panties in a wad?
This is hilarious. I don't have a dog in this hunt and I've never dealt with LaRue before, but I think I'll avoid their stuff lest there be a temper tantrum if I ask a question about it. Seriously dude, a couple guys question something and you fuck all the rest of your customers? Classy. |
|
Ah, every gun board has it's share of jerks. Ya just gotta have a thick skin and ignore them. LaRue makes excellent products, the majority of us realize that.
But it's your call. |

They will all go to nice homes. |

Never mind the fact that pulling them off the market is tantamount to admitting they were correct in their assertion that your BCGs were not "mil-spec", and don't even try and give me that bullshit about no one knowing the specs, you can look up the MIL-STD codes just like anyone else can.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I just read through all that stuff and have to agree completely. Not only that, but it also appears that you brought the argument to your 'yard' where you know you have people that will support you unconditionally. Furthermore, it appears as though you are admitting defeat in this argument, not because you don't want to deal with it anymore, but because those 2 or 3 guys were possibly right. If they were, I think that you are handling this all wrong. I'm just posting an honest objective view of the argument here. Nothing else. |

Mark, Please reconsider. Many of us have your uppers and like to have original spare parts on hand and or believe in something we already have and want more of the same. Do not let a couple idiots ruin it for the whole. I personally don't give a shit about mil-spec. I run what works and yours WORK.

I can't really be unbiased, but I read the other thread and as I stated there I think only 87GN was the only one asking questions, the other guys were attacking. That being said ,I agree, it seems a bit silly to just stop selling them over two D bags making comments. Maybe there's more to it? Hasn't LT been sued over all sorts of stuff and gotten into it with actual manufacturers of gun parts/products? It seems to me he doesn't back down usually. |

Please think it over and offer them for sale again. I have one in my Stealth and one Larue BCG in my parts kit. I keep meaning to pick a couple of more from you. I really need to put another spare bolt in my bag.........

You'll be needing ALL the money you can soon enough... Civilian sales of BCG's profit margins probably aren't all that high. Like ML said, it probably wasn't worth the hassle of defending his company's reputation over. It's not "childish", it's a smart business move to reserve those BCGs just for complete uppers. Why should he continue to sell BCGs he doesn't make much money off of, when it's a vulnerable point for trolls to drag his company's name through mud with? One choice is to give in to the trolls and give a full disclosure of why his BCGs are da bomb, and where he sources his parts from, etc. etc. Or simply take stand alone BCGs off the market. Sucks for all those people who need BCGs. Time to buy used clone no brand BCGs on the EE for $180. Plan ahead next time yall. ETA: 4 - 5 month wait on LMTs, and BCM's BCGs sell out in minutes. Get in line folks! |
|
WOW...if that is your attitude, then thanks for broadcasting it before I messed up and purchased a BCG from you. I don't need a dealer that cuts and runs. I build ARs as a hobby. I'm actually actively looking for a BCG for my latest build. Guess I will look elsewhere for a quality BCG. Shouldn't be hard to find one.

My apologies to those this effects negatively (LE, MIL, etcetera).
However, Larue BCG's are not Mil Spec, and in no way shape or form do I think it's fair that Mark is essentially taking this out on his customers because this was pointed out. I did not say his bolts are crap, I simply stated they aren't Mil Spec to a man asking about them, and it was not a lie. When I ask about a product I like to hear the facts. |
|
I've never had a problem with anything that comes out of LT's shop. Every time I call there they are polite and helpful. I'll keep supporting them till the day I die. I have not found a company out there that gets as personal with there customers as LT.
If you don't like somebody's product simply do not buy it. Don't run around talking crap all over the internet about stuff that you know nothing about. I think the proper word for folks like this is dickweed. Larue rocks! Keep up the great work. |
|
i respectfully ask that you reconsider your decision. i know it's your business and you can do what you want but there are a lot of us who don't give a rats ass about this "mil-spec vs nonmil-spec" shit. i don't care if it's TDP or what ever, as long as it's quality i'm in. what about only offering BCG's to existing customers? you know, guys who have bought stuff in the past. (i was about to put 3 BCG's on my growing LaRue order) |

What about bolt assemblies themselves? Not the whole BGC, just the bolt.

So why stop selling them - they don't want them, sell them to those who do!
|
|
Well, as someone said, pulling them as a seperate item isnt going to stop the squawking much if they still ship as part of the uppers.
People are still going to respond to "I'm thinking about ordering a larue upper" or "I just got my larue upper" posts with comments about needing to replace that non-spec bolt. |

F*%K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dam it I was going to order one next week. Pretty please Mark with surger on top. |
