TWO LARUE SLIDES ON MID-90'S VINTAGE MARC KREBS 1911'S:

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT HERE ARE:

MARC KREBS CAME UP WITH SNAKESKIN CHECKERING FIRST. THE TOP GUN HAS ONE OF THE FIRST FIVE SNAKESKIN CHECKERED FRAMES EVER DONE.

THE BOTTOM GUN IS THE FIRST PISTOL WITH A PICATINNY RAIL CUT FOR MOUNTING TACTICAL LIGHT, BAYONET, ETC., EVER BUILT. IT'S A MAJOR MIRACLE THAT THE X300 FITS PERFECTLY TODAY.

AT THAT TIME, MARC KREBS WAS ON EVERYONE'S SHORT LIST OF THE FINEST 1911 'SMITHS IN THE WORLD. I REMEMBER MARC WAXING ELOQUENT OVER THE NEW SLIDES HE WAS GETTING OUT OF TEXAS AT THAT TIME.

GOOD SHOOTING,

Looking at the bottom pistol, it looks like he was getting more than just the slides out of Texas.

Keep in mind that my opinion is worth what you paid for it.

I'm a Wilson Combat fan, but I am sure they would understand if I mixed up my stash with a few LaRue 1911's.

I am just going to hope that they delivering some rifles before an AWB occurs.

The folks at LaRue Tactical seem very skilled at being both innovative and manufacturing reliable, durable, accurate firearms. They are nearly alone in todays industry at having both of these skills. I'm sure they could bring something new to the 1911 pistol table. But, since we have many fine 1911 makers, I hope they focus on the AR rifle as there are none better at the AR Rifle.

A LaRue 1911 would look awful nice nestled in amongst my Wilson Combat Professional and Ed Brown Classic Custom. Nice indeed.

That is one sweet looking 1911 but before LT dabbles in that market i would love to see a 300 AAC Blackout upper in the near future. Hell i would buy both for sure but if i had to choose it would be the Upper. Superb accuracy and reliability make the .300 Blackout an ideal hunting cartridge and great for when the SHTF !

Holy smokes. If I could get a LaRue 1911 and LaRue 300 BLK my life would be complete.

Add those to the 762 OBR and 556 tAR I'm waiting on. One step at a time I guess but a man can dream.

Ok nope I'm not done yet. How absolutely beautiful would that be? I would just stare all day every day at this collection and giggle like a damn school girl.

i think there is a problem with the LaRue website. the LaRue 1911 isn't available for pre-order.
