you be the beta tester and I will knock $20 off of it View Quote Sounds like a deal! I was about to order anyway. Should I just order and send you the order number? edit: I have a 1200yd range. Typically only shoot 5.56 out to 600 or so. I'll make a thread here of my results with this barrel. |

Darn. Just when I'm looking for a good SS barrel. Wish I could get the 20 off too.
Though the pinned gb's might be a good thing to wait for. What's the eta on those as well as price? |

Crazy follow up question. I went on the Faxon site. The barrel there reads that it's 416R stainless. I could have sworn Aim's site said that too. Now I go back and it reads 4150 Chromoly. Which is it?

At that price it won't be much of a loss if it's not a shooter. |

What's the deal with the polished barrel extension? Is it nickel boron?
|
|
Came for this too. I googled around for info on the DC Machine barrels and didn't find any reviews. I found this article from Cutting Tool Engineering Magazine telling the history of DC Machine. With the volume of barrels the articles says they produce, you'd think they'd have a bigger footprint in google searches, but all I see are reposts of the AIM deal from the last 24 hours, and a few other mentions of them going back about two months. |

Are the Faxon barrels 6 groove?
Was curious about the barrel extension as well. Nickel Boron? |

Need any beta testers for your DC Machine barrel? Curious as well. I googled around for info on the DC Machine barrels and didn't find any reviews. Same here, I took a chance and ordered one of the DC Machine barrels. I figure what the hell, If the barrel sucks, AIM Surplus will make it right. What kind of accuracy do they generally get? |

bryan, on faxon's website they list a 18 inch barrel, any chance of us seeing that in the future?

It appears to be the exact same barrel as what's listed on the Faxon site, so I'm betting it is indeed stainless unless they made a special run of chrome moly for AIM. Either way I'll give it a go and report back. Thanks for the deal Bryan! |

I am very interested in these results.... and the mystery of whether the barrels are 416 as shown on FAXON site, or 4150 as shown on AIM's.

Outstanding, spending all my time with my newborn twins. http://s10.postimg.org/xu89caj95/screenshot_5.png just ordered a barrel too.... I saw these the other day and it looked so tempting for that price.... everything I like in a barrel. QPQ/Melonite, 1:8 twist to stabilize anything, mid gas and govt weight profile. I am very interested in the accuracy potential. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

My barrel is set to arrive on Friday. I'm going to try to get it into a upper and out shooting on Saturday.

CLHARR, did you get that barrel in today? Wondering what your overall impressions were so far? Do keep us posted with a range report. Might be interested in one of these for a truck gun.

View Quote Just got it. Overall fit and finish are great. I was a bit disappointed that there was no dimple for the gas block screw but it is a small matter. I can always drill one myself if I want. Going to try to build it up later tonight after I wake up. I work nights and am usually asleep right now but had to open my goodies from AIM. |
|
Tagged for results. Thinking about grabbing one of these for a budget build.
|
|
Well my original plan was to just rebarrel one of my uppers but I can't get the damn rail off. So I'm just going to build a whole new upper. Time to do some more shopping.
|
|
That's why you have to be like me. 3 spare rails bcgs and uppers everything need on hand... Just add barrels

Looks like the next batch just hit the site - anyone have a chance to run one of these yet? Bryan, you mentioned earlier that the next order would have pinned GB's - is there another batch set to drop shortly? Any chance of bringing in any of their other barrels? I could sure use another 10.5" and the price looks great on their stainless options. Thanks! |
|
they have a sweet new gas block coming out, and we are just waiting on those to get finished for those
we will have 10.5 12.5 14.5 16 18 all just like these but with pinned GB, $20 more |

Hey bryan, any outlook on these new barrel/gas block setups?
And how are these barrels performing? |
|
|
Barrel is sold to another member here. Turns out it was part of a bad batch that Faxon is willing to replace. I notified the new owner. So if you have one of the first runs and it's crap, contact Faxon.

Am I loosing my mind or have several of my posts and pictures been edited out of this thread?
