Ok, I won't bother with 42 dancing bananas across this field, but OMG! and Hell Yeah!!
My IRD MK II 35 finally arrived and it is Unbelievable!
I have to say that pulling the trigger on a scope that was about three month's worth of mortgage was a little intimidating... but now that it's here, I'm better now!
I was honestly a little worried that I had jumped onto something that would take too much time to learn (then promptly forget small things) and never really have command over it. BUT, it truly is "intuitive" like the ads say. The image detail / clarity is amazing.
I went to the public range today with my son and we began the process of sighting it in. I may (or may not) have read and remembered all the printed/ video instructions to make it easier but the experience was just too cool. (I'm still trying to get it zeroed, we ran out of time...)
I use TICs everyday at work, and this surpasses our Bullards by a mile.
I hope to be smarter than this thing soon but in the meantime, unmounted, It's simply amazing to see the neighborhood in the cold, dark night.
Like many here, I read a lot but don't post a lot. Thanks Vic and Jaime and to everyone else that asked questions here.
Oh yeah, almost forgot....
