Gentleman what difference if any is there between an ITT Exelsis and L3 gen 3 white phosphor PVS-14? Would one be superior to the other?

great question. Scientific benefits? None, or at least none that have been backed with hard evidence.
The white phosphor is a cyan hue that some people report is more pleasing to the eye. Its pretty much split down the middle honestly with personal preference. Even with the guys at the tip of the spear that get issued panos; Some want white phosphor, some what green phosphor.
I will tell you that L3 has "cracked the code" so-to-speak on white phosphor tubes and on average they are a lot higher spec when coming off the assembly line than the green variants.
I like both, but it is nice to see something other than green every once in a while.
