I know absolutely nothing about night vision, BUT I have read everything I can on your website, the Night vision forum here, watched most of your videos on Youtube and I think I know what I am wanting to get. Looking at a TNVC PVS-14 with either the Pinnacle or L3 tube and the full kit. Also looking at the TW Exfil helmet. Will the mount in the full kit work with that helmet? Anything else needed?
Also will probably never mount on anything over 5.56, so any reason to pay more for the L3 tube? I would like to get the MOST life out of the system that I can. Would the L3 have better longevity?
Thanks.....

Rhino mount that comes with the full kit will work with the TW helmet.
Tube differences. Honestly, there are very very minor differences. So minor, that if I were to hand you one of each in a system that had similar specs, you couldn't tell the difference. As far as performance and clarity of images, I would say they are apples to apples. We have been seeing more consistency in the L3 tubes we have been receiving, however, it's not anything drastic and it pertains more to the fact that L3 can supply them a little faster. Both are exceptional tubes, and we spec them out as high as we can get them.
Both tubes will have virtually the same longevity if you take care of the system as you should. 10,000+ hours.
Counterweights are a nice addition. Helps balance everything out and put less strain on your neck. Anything EOG makes is awesome and will work just fine.
If you plan on using a rifle with this setup, I would recommend looking into a laser as well. Let me know if you need help with anything else.
