You and me both, brother. Frank keeps teasing me by posting pics of the "upcoming" 308. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, though. |

Yeah Shadow Frank keeps putting these little teasers up about the .308's. Its like dating in jr high. You get a peak but thats about it.
Can't wait to know when that new rail model comes out. Looks pretty sweet the way they listed it in the other thred made me wonder if it will be a package rifle. GR8TWYT just a thought but if you go with the 14.5 you are basicly stuck with that hider/comp unless you have a smith remove it and replace it. With the 16.1 you can add or remove when you like. If you have never used the Krink comp it may not be the choise you want for home defence its pretty loud and as shadow has stated a bit of a fire breather. Just somthing to think about. |

Yeah, I've been thinking about the "fire breather" statement Shadow made. Just got e-mail from POF again today stating Chris will be my sales assoc. & will call Tuesday, so I gotta decide! |

Can we put 5.56 & .223 ammo through POF weps?
I already have a BM M4, maybe I should consider an SBR. It's either that or the 16", with short handguard like P4X. Recon rifle would be awesome if I had some property to shoot it on (I don't), and I can already shoot a gnat off a fleas ass w/ my Bushmaster at the local range with a whopping 75 feet max distance - so the recon would be a waste for me. Pros & cons guys - help me out! ![]() |

No worries Shadow - ultimately whatever I pick will be on me If the .308 was avail. now I wouldn't be asking all these stupid questions. That will be next years project. Practical use for me would be home defense, range target shooting, & because I'm urban, in a SHTF scenario CQB/C. Sounds like an SBR would be the obvious choice, but with all the talk about loss of fragmentation due to lower muzzle velocity associated w/ short barrels I hesitate to go that route.

Hi folks,
I was asked to include a picture of my POF upper into this thread and here it is! The photo was a joke to go along with another persons Zombie Pic, it had a chainsaw, I have an electric weed eater..... POF Upper, Bushmaster Lower, Tango Down grip, magpul trigger guard, Vltor Club foot stock, GG&G rear flip up sight, generic front grip, waiting on a GripPod. Trijicon Tri-Power scope, and a Sure Fire flashlight. ![]() ![]() |

The .308 should not be that far off. If you want an SBR there is a guy selling his 11.5 upper on here. He's got it for a pretty sweet price. That could save you a bit of time and cash. |

Nice pics Duck. My family business (where I'm at right now) is located in a Zombie target rich environment. The medical center next door is an Oxycontin abusers paradise. He keeps 'em hopped up & that guarantees repeat business, as he also owns the pharmacy on the same property. By law, he can't profit from the scrips, so he leases the property to his buddy who is the pharmacist, for 75.00 sq. ft. - the average price per sq ft for retail space around here is 2.00 - 3.00. Them pharmacist does alright too, from the endless flood of Zombies buying their pills. They literally fill up the parking lot & stare thru the windows.

nice set up, so does POF not make a stock like that? Everyone seems to use a different company than POF. I like the one you have and LMT's... they have that nice cheek wield that fills in the gap. Also whats the name of the front sight you have , seen them around...you guys like them. I just want a good co witness set. thanks...

the VFG didnt fit. I took one off my RRA to put on there temporarly but the rails are weird or something and i would of had to remove plastic, this kinda concerns me since im planning on spending 400 + on a surefire light. But then agian i also had to sand the plastic down just to get the Tango Down Vertical grip on my RRA. |
