I just wanted to say thanks to Rainier for the awesome customer service I received recently.
Long story, but I built a 12.5 inch 7.62 SBR using a Rainier upper/lower combo, a Rainier ultramatch barrel and bolt, and a bunch of other nice parts, some from Rainier, some from elsewhere. It shot great with Aussie surplus (1.5-2 inch groups), but not so good with match ammo.
I posted in the SBR forum the details, but after extensive testing with multiple different match loads I called Rainier for advice.
As I said in the other forum, my intent was not to blame the barrel, I was looking for load and or build advice. But after 15 minutes of conversation about my build, the Rainier customer service offered to replace my barrel and bolt with a new one. Mind you, this was 9 months after I bought the barrel.
The new barrel is on the way. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it improves my results.
Either way, Rainier has gone above and beyond to make things right and I am eternally grateful.
