Buy mine since they are apparently never going to fix the ones we early adopters with bayonet lugs bought.

Fix ? No . There are two versions a bayonet version and the first was the non bayonet version. Our machines are running 20 hours a day 6 days a week. We will be running these again in the next month once my next machining center is set up and running.

Midwest just released their new version of the 516 rail that will fit the bayonet lug. I picked up three of the rails. They are on the way to me. I may be interested in trading for one or more of the original rails, as my 516 uppers do not have bayonet lugs. If anyone is interested in trading their original Midwest 516 rails for one of the new style rails, message me. Sorry, I am not interested in any other trades or selling the rails outright.

Looks decent, but I think I'd prefer the non bayo version. If anyone wants to offload the older style LMK.

Thanks for coming through! Love my 516 but hated the cheese grater quad rail. |

Just got one of the new "universal" model rails for the 516. I decided to use it on a 12.5" model that is quickly becoming my favorite rifle to shoot (certainly my favorite 516 at the moment). I really wasn't sure if I would like it or not, because I actually like quad picatiny rails, and have never been a big fan of M-Lok, even though I have several rifles that have M-Lok rails on them. Once mounted, however, I found that I really liked the "feel" it imparted to my 516. I'm going to do some shooting with it over the next few weeks, and who knows? I may buy a couple more. We'll see. But it is a nice product, and Midwest has done a good job in creating this rail option for us 516 diehards.
