Hello. Never sent a barrel for work before, sorry for the basic questions. This is an AR barrel that has been removed from the upper.
1. I have a 10 inch rail (around 10 inch barrel is also ballistically advantageous too), and I'd like to keep the barrel just under the rail with a tri lug adapter (I have the tri lug). How do you measure the barrel to be cut? Does that include the barrel extension or not?
2. Ideally I'd like the threads to be the same length as the tri lug adapter (threads are 1/2 by 28). I have a micrometer to measure the tri lug. Would it be better to measure them or just send it in? The tri lug adapter is from TROS.
2. If I want the gas port opened up, can I just ask for one size bigger? I don't know what it is now. This isn't a 556 barrel, it is a 357 magnum barrel, so its an experiment. I'm using an adjustable gas block, so I'm not overly worried about it being over gassed.
Ideally I'd like the barrel (not including the extension) with the tri lug to be exactly 10 inches and the gas port opened up one size. Please advise on the best way to make that happen.
Thanks for your time and patience.
