I have a sling slot on the rear of basically every rifle I own. The front attachment point varies (paraclip, HK hook, MASH hook, QD swivel, etc.), but the rear pretty much always affords a sling slot. Why is there not an MS1 end that is the single-point ring that is made for a sling slot? I would think it would be cheap to produce, and you already have all the parts you need in a MAG516 or MAG517 - just lose the paraclip or QD swivel and replace with a triglide and slightly longer fabric, right?
I prefer how solid and silent the sling right through the stock is over a QD swivel or ASAP plate, but I don't see how I can ever transition from 2-pt to 1-pt with the MS1 options out there right now.
Thanks for your consideration. Love the MS1s - I have adopted them as my default sling and began slowly replacing my slings on all my rifles and shotguns with them.
