What mags will it be compatible with? View Quote The video shows Caylen loading AICS mags, so I'm guessing this video is also showing us a preview of Magpul's AICS-compatible polymer magazines. ETA: It'll be interesting to see how much the thicker polymer mag walls limit COAL vs a steel AICS mag. |
They just posted on facebook announcing the stock, and a Polymer AICS style mag!
One of the shots looked like a Magpul mag. And will there be a folder?
Is that Deep Lake at the beginning?
Is the end of the video Chinook Pass? Might have to pick up a 700 now... |

Lots of questions about the 700 products, so we'll give you a little more to go on... Hunter 700, $259.95 MSRP has an anodized aluminum bedding block, uses SGA cheek riser and LOP spacers, has M-LOK slots, has dimples to add swivel studs and places to add our QD sockets, weighs 2.9 lbs, and works with factory Rem bottom metal as packaged, or.... Remove a spacer (30 seconds) and insert our hybrid steel and polymer Bolt Action Magazine Well (MSRP $69.95, includes one magazine) to use AICS compatible magazines, speaking of which... The PMAG5 7.62 AC is an AICS compatible polymer magazine with anti-tilt follower, MSRP $34.95. The magazine holds five rounds as packaged to comply with hunting regulations, but if you clip the follower stop on a pre-scored line, it becomes a 6-round magazine, useful in competitive shooting disciplines or just for an extra round. This is just Monday...lots more to come. And this line will indeed be flushed out with other options and fitments, 10rd mag, caliber options, etc. |

Looks nice. Can't wait to see your folding stock chasis system too!. Will the new mags work in an AX chasis?
If you do this for the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle I'm gonna be pissed.*
*Not really |
The one piece of information I didn't see covered for the stock is the ETA to store shelves. Is a timeline for the stock/mag system and accessories available? I am more excited about this than anything from any manufacturer in several years
Magpul is NOT in the habit of teaser photo's or info. Generally IF they say anything, it's ready for full production.
When will this hit the market? I have an SPS tactical in .223 I would love to drop in this! Offered in OD or Tan?
I'm anxious for the mags. I hate dropping $80 for AICS mags................I cry a little when I drop them
Impliments available for EFRs? Also was there any flex in the forend like you find with those generic Remington stocks?

Savage stock please :( +1! +10 This. If possible Magpul.... Pretty please with spinkles, and rainbows, and shiny things, and gold!? and maybe make them to where you can us Magpul mags? Probably not, the modern Savage action (4.410ish) works well as a single feed system. Which is why Savage has a factory bottom metal that works with the AICS magazines. You can see it in my rifle pic in this thread. My recommendation is either an integrated bottom metal in AICS or, since the bottom metal is readily available and interchangeable with the factory bottom metal, to make the Savage Magpul stock fit the factory Savage base metal which would cover all the options a shooter could want. Fixed internal magazine, swing down plate, removable Savage mags, extended Savage mags, and AICS magazines. Being able to configure your Savage to which ever system you want makes for a VERY nice platform. Add in the Magpul magic, and you have a solid accurate modular stock system. ETA: BUT YES!!!! I also would like a Magpul Hunter 10 Savage stock. ETA2: Hell, I'll drive my rifle down to Austin (60ish minutes to your door) so you can use mine to proto type as needed. Only thing to watch for is Savage uses two types of bolt release, gotta make it fit both types. I am serious, if you want to use it after shot show your more than welcome too. It's a favorite but I hardly ever get to take it out. So as long as you need it, it's yours. |

Just saw the email, very sexy
My 700 is already done, but I will be grabbing some of these 5rnd mags and the 10s when they come out. That said, I made my brothers day sending him the link to it. His card is on standby. |

What are the chances the Remington will see a Magpul 700 model like they do with the 870 shotgun?
I need to know if they are going to make a left handed model. It will be the determining factor on if I get a long or short 700 action.
Do you have any close pictures of the new bottom metal and roughly how much longer are the 10 rnd magazines looking? I know the magazines are in development but didn't know if you had an idea. I would assume about 1.5 - 2" longer.
Thanks for bringing in this bolt action rifle line as well. Yall have been busy this year.
If Magpul would make something like this for a Mauser action or a Tikka T3, I'd start throwing cash at my computer screen.
Looks like a nice stock with lots of options.
Wonder if a version for the Ruger GSR is in the works? |
What are you guys doing for barreled actions?
Only bolt gun I have right now is an Accuracy International AT. But hot damn am I itching to make an ultra lightweight hunting rifle now. |

So I've been thinking about having a REM700 SA built for over a year now in .284WIN...... this just sealed the deal, looks outstanding.
Any idea on the best place to place an order for one of these? I understand its not out yet but wanted to figure out which dealers to keep an eye on.
ya know Rich, your good pals at arfcom did help weed a few issues with the M93 when it came out...
so how about an arfom Hunter 700 beta? |
