Ok, so I'm a independent contractor working overseas. Here's our hero poser's resume:

1. former USN specwar combatant crewman
2. former  US Army intel whatever "can't really tell you about it"- his words- in Panama (where he currently owns a ranch)
3. former US marshall (personally escorted Hinkley to appointments, etc.- who "seems like a nice guy")
4. former nurse anestesist
I'm sure there's more.

I had a coworker once.

LT in USAF, Peacekeeper launch crew until it was phased out. (one test launch where he "turned the key" and he has a teflon block from the missile which are shed when it cleared the silo)
F16 pilot (call sign MIRV)
Went to TAC-P and J-TAC out of the cockpit
Rode a horse into the 'stan with bug eaters in 2001
Got Silver Star for calling in airstrikes (under fire) on bad guys which allowed Karzi to safely get to the pres. palace when he returned to the 'stan
Back to F16 (still MIRV)
Back to Bug Eater world where he taught at Nellis
Went to the reserves and flew the red/reaper from Nellis ("I killed more bad guys from Nellis than I ever did using any other weapon system")
Still in Reserves, back in the F16. (still MIRV)
Some stories are real yet sound like they are totally fake.

Above is NOT a poser buy a REAL warrior and a good friend.  Someone I am proud to say I know.

Posers are so much fun.  We had a new guy transfer into my unit and it was soon noticed he had airborne wings on his uniform.  Thats a bit of an oddity in an Air Force unit.  I asked him what his story was.  He smirked and said, "I was a cook in the 82nd Airborne."  By looking at this guy you could tell he'd been around the block.  Any and all suspicion about him was erased when he cooked for us a few weeks later.  He was one of the best cooks I have ever seen.
