My mother and father just presented me with a Quilt of Valor for Veteran's Day.  I am overcome and humbled by it.  She was working on this for most of a year.  I can't wait to find a place to display it on a wall at home.  Did anyone else get a Quilt of Valor?

What is a Quilt of Valor?

A quilt of Valor is for any veteran "touched by war."  There is a group of quilt makers that are making quilts for veterans.  This began in the last few years.  They have a website you can find if you google quilts of valor.  I am thinking about displaying mine in a hallway at home with pictures of members of my family through the years in uniform.  IT is the the best gift or thank you I've ever received for being a veteran.

Don't know about the organization you are talking about but my Aunt made this from me with parts from every camo pattern I have worn in my 29 years of service.

we had a quilting ceremony at my work (I work at VA residential care program), they brought in quilts for two of our resident vietnam vets, then to our surprise they had the three veterans we had on staff come up and presented us with quits, too.
