Hey guys, I was trying to come up with some ideas for Christmas gifts for my shift. I'm thinking $10-$20 per person (3 on my shift and 3 on days). Any ideas? I had the following ideas but I'm sure you guys will come up with something good:
- Pocket Knife (although everyone already has one)
- Coffee gift card
- Fleece (Walmart has them and I would have our department embroidery done on them, we can wear these on duty)
- Belt keeper with hidden cuff key
- Cheap flashlight
- Pmag (but not everyone has an AR)
- "I hunt the wolf in the dark of the night" morale patch

Thanks guys, any ideas or links would be helpful. I want my brother and sisters to know how important my they are to me.

Its a little over budget but you should get everyone, including yourself a CAT Tourniquet.  Make sure you buy from a reputable medical or police supply outfit as there are airsoft and knockoff versions bouncing around out there that will fail you if needed.

Thats a great idea but a little over my price range. But I do carry one on duty. I'm really leaning towards the 1/4 zip fleece. The fleece plus embroidery would be $17 each.

This is what I did last year.

Save buying multiple. I also gave them out to the rest of the guys in my family. Everyone liked them. And some were wanting to know where I got them to order more.

When I was on patrol, my boss would never have thought about giving gifts.  Then again, I don't think Satan celebrates Christmas.

I bought 10 mini mag lights(2 AA) at Ace hardware one year for the guys in the firehouse.

Also, I know Walmart has knives-not sure the quality- for pretty cheap around this time of year.

1. Buy a bulk pack of hand warmers and split them up.
2. Morale patches.
3. Pocket notebooks.
4. Warm winter duty socks.
5. Pens
6. Key-chain zip drives
7. Paracord bracelets

The other two sgts on the platoon and I all got our guys (21 officers) a nice knife.  We watched all the clearance and sales and such and ended up getting a $50 knife for $22 a pop a month ago.  Best bet is to just be watching and waiting with your options open and strike as soon as you see a good deal.

LIttle off the beaten path of thought here but with some of the long shifts this might be handy in a patrol bag or cargo pocket.

Keep their cell phone charged.  Every body has a smart phone now.
