Since I bmoved here from NJ..(good move) my only complaint about Texas is that NOBODY knows how to drive. I would rather drive thru New York City on News Years Eve....

Texans suck as drivers...I dont think they know that the turn signal is/means.

If you want to take a break from eatin BBQ or Mexican food while you are in Houston, try a little shopping at Collectors Firearms. This is a world class gun store and well worth a visit.

Oh, Dude, the only thing you see a Hippy hollow anymore is  a couple of guys in the bushes doin' themselves or each other.

What's the deal? Doesn't anyone know about Elgin Hot Sausage at THE Southside Market?  The best BBQ in Texas, bar none

I'll agree with you about Hippie Hollow, but Southside Market?!  They suck Canadian moose wang.  Their meat is flavorless.  Meyer's Elgin sausage is much better.  They're from the OTHER end of Elgin.

Salt Lick beats 'em all, and Kreutz's is arguably better.

Is it those NJ folks who keep cruising in the passing lane?  We should have open season on folks like that.  The turn signal just gives away our next move.  Why should we let the a$$hole we are passing know which lane to get in to block us?

you got the wrong guy there..... I stay where i belong..in the right lane, doing the speed limit. not doing 75/80 in a 60 zone. like where do you need to go that fast.

all in all, TX is a great place.

Hey CB1, I wasn't disagreeing with you about us Texans being bad drivers. [;)]  I'm just trying to prepare our visitor.  As for me?  I don't have a good excuse.  I learned to drive in Texas.

Take my advice - go to the State Capital.  You will not regret taking my advice.  Awesome.  Period.

I thought about warning you about how Texans drive.  They just drive different.
When a light turns yello, that means speed up.  When it turns red, that means floor it, put your boots on the dash and hands on the roof(shout: Yee, haw!).
Do not jump off the line when your light turns green!  A Texan may be comming thru.  Count to three and proceed with caution.  Then, drive very fast.  Mirrors on cars/trucks are for decoration only.  You will not need them.
I forgot to mention the Texas monument at the San Jecinto Battle Grounds east of Houston.  This is a must see.  The birth place of Texas(not the Alamo).  Once you've been there you will understand why Texans like to think Texas is the greatest country in the world.

hehehe
no offense taken....
the one point that NJ drivers are worse...and i mean WORSE is..
your at a red light, when the light turns yellow for the other traffic, you start to go.

now thats bad. that is the new trend when i moved away.

Hey Guys,
I've talked with 1gunnrunnr in the last eight hours, and some of his plans are falling apart.
I'm not going to be there until Monday morning, but his weekend is looking boring.
Someone call him to go do something.  He's just sitting alone in the hotel room!!
Email me if you need his phone number.

Made contact with 1Gunrunner.  Attempting to direct him to EricTheHun's table at the show but it's turning into a multilevel communications snafu.  Grenada must have gone like this.  Need to hack into a multiprotocol transmission node site.  We've gotta work on realtime comm.

He's go for Operation Infinite Brisket.  We'll deploy by his place around 1815 hours.
