I bought two doublestar lowers from Bud's for $99 shipped a week or two ago. I felt kind of silly for buying two receivers I didn't immediately need, but hey, I'll use them some day.
The polls were looking bad for McCain they were raised to $109 shipped. Then Obama won, and they are $119 shipped. Now I'm starting to regret I didn't buy four or five more

Read up on House Bill # 1022, HR 1022 was written in 2007... it isn't dead yet. Buy what you can while you can. They (the democrats) want to take our black rifles away. Those who don't think it will happen... think again, we are looking at the most liberal President, who he himself has said he wants to take away our assault rifles, we have a democratic controlled House and Senate to boot.... whatever they want to pass, passes. Lay-off Spikes, they have been supporting all of us in the gun community, unfortunately times have 'Changed', which is something that not only Barack wanted, but everyone who voted for him. Our gun rights are up in the air as it sits.

I have always liked the fit and finish on Spikes Lowers better than my other three. They have a great product. Its unfortunate that The days of the $115.00 lower are history.
I bet the DPMS lowers are looking better and better, even to those that don't like DPMS. |

I'm not going to jump on the Bash-Spike's-Band-Wagon.
Seriously though, everyone's prices are going up. When the Hurricane Ike was coming towards Houston here, everyone filled their gas tanks (+ every container they could find), went out and hoarded ice/bottles of water/bread/etc and tried to stand in line for 2 - 3 hours to get a generator like it was the end of the F-ING WORLD AND some prices DID GO UP! Did we ban the Exxons, Home Depot/Lowes, Wal-Marts, etc...... for raising their prices....NO we didn't. When Clinton and crew passed the ban back in 1994, prices went up and people bitched about it. So what. Either buy what you can or don't. Just because Spike's increased thier prices, you don't have to buy from them. Sure you can bash them, but then you're just being a jackass. I just think the finger pointing is in the wrong direction. Sorry for the little rant. Hope I made some sense to some people....... |
