Years ago when I was in College and living in the dorms, the next door white kid had dreads. Was less common back then. Yeah, he got the "dread" look by not washing his hair, and yeah, he was a dope smoking hippy wanna be. He prided himself on his dreads, and the fact he never washed his head. He had a noisy break-up with his girlfriend outside one night, and drew a crowd due to the commotion. Was the funniest thing when the girl started grabbing fist-fulls of dirt and throwing them onto his head. The damn hippy prolly still has the sand and dirt embedded in his hair to this day.

One of our Ohio members has dreadlocks (we sometimes call him Dread the Fed

), and he's cool as shit. We love him.

Hippie? Not a hippie? Who gives a fuck. He's cool as hell, and a great shooter. Him and GR8WYT lift together. Our favorite little hippie is bulking up!

He's getting strong enough, that if you don't like his hair, he might just kick your ass. He's a big fella.

+1 He is one of the nicest guys I've ever met, class act all the way!! Who gives a fuck what someone chooses to do with their hair as long as it isn't affecting you. Look past the petty stereotypes, you might be surprised.

The same thing can be said of the tattoo craze. I've never been partial to tattoos, but there are a lot of really nice people that have them, to each thier own, doesn't hurt me or anyone else so who cares.

Dreads on anyone? I, personally, do not find the look attractive in the least. It tends to look dirty and scuzzy on most people.
