No body armor? A year ago, we had to wear our flak vest EVERYWEAR in Kosovo it seemed ( Task Force Falcon 2A). Even then, Kosovo wasn't much more then a photo op. for my unit - being stationed on Camp Bondsteel most of the time. One of my friends got shot at with an AK on guard duty - not directly - just some nut firing towards the perimeter of Camp Montieth.
