I own a 45,475 and a 500.475 is the heaviest recoiling Id guess about 3 times as a heavy 300gr loaded 44mag.475 uses 385 to 420 grain bullet.500 uses a 440 grain.45 300 to 350.They all get your attention

How do they shoot? Ever consider them for a CCW? Bet you'd get a one shot stop, lol

I have shot 11/2 groups at 50 yards with 45 and 500 The 475 about 21/2 at 50.Still working on the mental part with that one.Its me not the pistol.

Just because he's going deaf is no reason to shoot him ! [;)]

I shot a friends .475 a few times. IIRC, recoil felt about the same as a .44 Blackhawk with 290 grain hardcast. It was just a stunt, but I qualified for my CHP with a Casull one-handed. Used the stoutest loads I had, 355 grains at 1675 fps. Shook so bad at the end I could barely hold it on target. At the beginning, I was working on my between-the-eyes shot placement on Paul Bunyan targets.

I shot one year before last but apparently just winged him. Any way I lost the blood trail after he went into the mountains. [:D]
