In other words, if the round exits, so will the sound? |

There is a little trap door that opens and closes like really really fast. You had to oil the hinges on the old silencers. |

I just unpacked all the old baby bottles that we used with my son and my wife is going to throw all the old nipples away and get new ones for the baby girl that is due next month.............

They say a plastic soda bottle that has a mouth that snugly fits the diameter of the bull barrel on a .22 pistol like a KMK512 Ruger is an effective silencer too.
That' just what they say. |

My neighbor just told me the same thing. His father lived in the city and was having problems with ground hogs. His medicine is a 22 with a baby nipple. Says it works..

A while back someon posted a video of a guy (I can only assume he had a manufacturer's license) testing the soda bottle out on a 9mm. It definitely worked.
I have also seen pics of a device some company made that screws onto a threaded bbl and accepts a soda bottle in theads on the other side. IIRC they said he ATF ruled it no-go for some reason, but I could be wrong. It would sure be a neat device to have if you can still buy them. You'd never wear it out. But I think the argument was that each new bottle you attached became a new silencer, so you'd have to register each bottle.
