How many of you have a knife on you and what kind do you have? Do you like it? Would you rather have something else? I'm currently carrying a Kershaw Whirlwind and a Gerber Multi-plier (my leaterman wave is MIA).
God Bless Texas |

CRKT 14K Summit, love it...

I typically carry a 2 blade Swiss Army knife with all the screwdrivers and goodies in. Not too big and not too small. Works good for all my typical everyday tasks. If I get into something more involved I have a Gerber multiplyier and a Leatherman tool. I also have all kinds of specialty and sigle blade knives but can only carry so many at a time.

for everyday carry, i carry my smith&wesson 1250ta automatic knife. when im in the field, i carry that and also swiss army or my multi plier, gotta love those swiss army knives
I was carrying a knife until this attack. I must go to a building that is now protected by military units, snipers, bomb sniffing dogs and has only one way to get there.
I can't anymore but prior to this I carried a folder. |
I wont walk out the door without all three of mine! Small Swiss Army on keychain, Large Swiss Army in left pocket and linerlock Kershaw clipped in right pocket. I am thinking about clipping on my Cold Steel Peacekeeper II just in case!

CRKT M16-04 www.crkt.com/m16alumn.html
CRKT Peck www.crkt.com/peck.html Frost/Mora carving knife, 2 5/8 blade with a homemade rawhide neck sheath Swiss army executive(?) - the tiny one for trimming your toenails, etc. I like the M16-04, it's a good feeling defensive knife (not that I would know anything about that), I plan on making a pocket "holster" for it. I don't like to have a large knife clipped where everyone can see it. The Mora knife is my utility knife. The P.E.C.K. is one I'm checking out as a possible item for a small survival kit. |

Today it's a Junglee Marshall. Other days I carry a Kershaw titanium Wild Turkey, a Spyderco Endura, a Cold Steel Gunsite folder, a Benchmade AFCK, a Puma or a Case trapper, a CRKT stiff K.I.S.S. around the neck, or whatever else might suit my fancy that day.

always carry crkt peck around my neck, leatherman micra, crkt kasper or M16-14M and sometimes MOD- Masod Ayoob.
Kershaw but I still love my Spyderco.I read that Spyderco supports the shooting sports.
I carry a Benchmade tanto style automatic folder. Dont remember the specific model number. Here in Oregon Automatic knives are perfectly legal.
A SOG autoclip, I ride a motorcycle a lot and like the way you can tighten down the clip to prevent losing the knife. ( I tend to squirm in the saddle a lot )
Benchmade Stryker. Cold Steel 4" serrated Voyager. Just wearing my "shorts", a Newt Livesay woo neck knife.
M-16/AR-15 Bayonet in my truck until somebody suggested it might not be legal. SO, until I check the laws out I'm just carrying my Carbine, which interestingly there is an "exception" for carrying Rifles in a vehicle.
I used to carry a butterfly knife, but haven't seen it (lost it) in years. |
when not on school campus I usually carry one of my many folding knives, usually from cold steel. depending on size restrictions I carry my ka-bar every now and then. what I carry is dictated by the amount of room I have for concealment.
ps seeing as I am to young to legaly carry a firearm I use a knife as a lesser substitute. I am also trained in it's proper employment for those of you who realize it is better to have nothing at all than bring a weapon to the table that someone else knows better how to use. |

(casual dress) Spyderco "Jess Horn"
(after hours) Benchmade 9100 SBMT Automatic (formal wear) CRKT K.I.S.S 5810 |

I'm curious; barring some location that precludes you having one on your person, is there anyone on the board who would walk out of the house without a pocket knife?
I know I never do, and I'll have my CCW, too, unless I know that I have to go into the PRNJ. |
at work it is a buck 422v anyplace else it is
(don't laugh) a schrade old timer. |
Syderco Delica (half serrated)...ALWAYS.. Whether at home in shorts and polo shirt or at work w/ suit and tie. it is always with me (except on planes and some Gov. Buildings)
Kershaw BlackOut. I love it. Closest thing to an auto knife I can carry. I compared it with some of my LE friends and it opens as fast as their autos!
Emerson Mach 1, I use it for everything
extremely durable and super sharp |
Emerson CQC-7.
I also have a Spyderco Ladybug on my keychain. Don't go anywhere without them, unless prohibited by law. Juggernaut |

I rarely carry a knife. Any knife I carry I will usually lose. I also lose pens. I misplace keys a lot. I have never lost or misplaced an AR-15 or .45 Auto. though. I still have my issue "Machete" of which I am proficient with, unfortunately, for some reason, it sets off alarms at the walk through metal detector.
Schrade Lightweight Nighthawk, Tool Logic Lightweight. And, since those are too tiny for bigger jobs like opening the crappy shrink plastic packaging cheap knives come in these days, also another cheap knife of a larger form factor.
I make knives so I usually carry a 4inch drop point, but sometimes it just feels like a Randal kind of day so I'll carry a Randall #25.
Case "trapper". Syderco Endura. Swiss Army - "Tinker", it's got a maginfying glass on it so in self defense, on a sunny day, you could hold someone down and burn them.

A NeckPeck (almost always) AND a Spyderco QuikRelease OR an Elishewitz Mini-Stryker
Stay Safe |
CRKT Peck on my key chain.
CRKT Sampson's KISS combo edge and Buck Multi-tool which I wear daily. CRKT M16 Zytel and Super Leathermen on my flightsuit. The M16 has a cool blade flipper/opener that lets you open it one-handed quickly. As you can see, I'm a big CRKT fan. |
