Was a regular member for years before becoming a Life Member in 1967. I did this because of the upcoming vote on the 1968 Gun Control Act. Life Membership back then was $100.00. I was serving in RVN at the time. I still make donations every year.

Metoo! I'm a life member and was a perpetual 5-year member for a long time before doing the math on the dues.

I was surprised on the lack of replies to this thread but am no longer so. Most of the people on this board tend to be too young in age and too little on experience. In other words, far too much talk and not enough walk.

Life Member since 1993 and Benefactor member since 2000.  Got in on the Life Membership for $500.00 just before they raised it to $750.00!  Still give money every year, particularly to NRA-ILA.

93-94 the antis were running hot and the NRA had a sale. I went Life cause it would be cheaper in the long run and send a message to the evil ones.

Benn a Lifer since 1974. Back then it was $100, and I had to pay that out over 6 months. Course back then $100 was fairly serious money.  [:D]

Annual member from 1988 to 1992, Life member since then.
In addition to donating to Friends of the NRA (or is it the NRA foundation? Can't remember),and the Isaac Walton League through the Combined Federal Campaign ($6/month deducted from my paycheck x 12 months)each year.
I also made a $30 cash donation to the Second Amendment Sisters at the Albany NY Mother's Day Rally this year. Not to mention the numerous .50 donations made that day for all the cookies and koolaid that my two little yard apes consumed at their snack bar! Those are some very nice ladies! They recruited my wife for their Orange County Team.
Yet, I feel that should do more; or is that just the twinge of guilt I feel when I find the latest NRA-ILA mailing asking for more money under the bills on the desk?

Started as an annual member in 1974 when I got my first summer job. I have been a member ever since, and became a life member in 1991.

Also member of CRPA, MRSA, GOA and have donated to JPFO.

I still donate money but I am getting tired of the phoney surveys with the donation requests at the end.

I be one of those Life Members.  My wife is one, too!  I'm not always happy with the NRA; I think they could use their money and power better, have wimped out too often, and played "dirty" with those that disagree with the party line (Neal Knox and company).  Still, there is no better team for us to join.

I became a Life Member as a junior back in the 80s.  A few years ago I upgraded to Endowment Member.

My dad's been a Life Member since long before I was around, and I believe my brother DrTom is a Life Member too.

Also, I feel I should buy a life membership for my young daughter, but I haven't gotten around to that yet.
