I am going to apply for a "Crime Analyst" position in an urban/suburban police department.  It's not a sworn officer's position, but it pays pretty well.

The requirements are that the applicant know financial and computer stuff (which I believe I have down fairly well) and also police procedures and evidence gathering protocol (which I don't think I know well enough).

My questions are: 1.) What can you guys tell me about this type of position and 2.) Where can I go to get up to speed on police procedure and evidence stuff.

I really want to take a serious crack at this position.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
