If you put in about 3 beta c mags, and go medival with the trigger yes. If you are worried about just it being out in the sun, it won't do much.

Unless you are shooting Beta C-mags on full auto, don't worry. It can get hot enough to burn you, melt the handguards, but it won't warp.

I would think rounds would cook-off before it got to that point, which is a good indication that you might want to take a coffee break.
